Sure it is. Either way you're basically talking about a very strong liklihood of getting sick at some point over the winter months unless you intend to isolate. |
Yes I’ve always been careful. I’m not as worried about Covid as other things. |
You shouldn't have to worry. Others could simply get the jab. |
JN.1 is here already. You should brace yourself for a surge. |
I'll get some popcorn ready, but I think we're going to be severely disappointed. |
“Others” are not getting the “jab” so you need to move on with that line of thinking. |
You are contagious before you have symptoms. Now what is your plan? |
It’s kicking my butt. Have had the chills, fatigue and headache. Feels like the first time https://npc.collegeboard.org/app/duke I got the vaccine. But it’s definitely way better than when I had actual COVID. |
Florida is another state which reports uptake data on the new booster. Despite its large retiree population, booster uptake has been minimal. Overall, 6% of Floridians have taken the new shot, which translates to 8% of adults. Only 18% of FL's 65+year olds have taken it. Florida Uptake of New Covid Booster Ages 6m - 4 years 0.4% Ages 6m - 19 years 1% Ages 20-64 years 4% Ages 65+ years: 18% The CDC's NIS phone survey estimates adult FL booster uptake at 11%, so the CDC is overestimating FL uptake, but by a smaller margin than in other states. https://www.flhealthcharts.gov/ChartsDashboards/rdPage.aspx?rdReport=Covid19.Dataviewer https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/imz-managers/coverage/covidvaxview/interactive/adult-coverage-vaccination.html |
My doctor, who has recommended all previous vaccines, suggested I wait. He has researched and is wary of this vaccine. I trust his advice. |
Why PP? What is it about this booster just curious? |
My doc told me not to get additional boosters (I am not elderly or obese). |
You were replying to sarcasm. |
Doctors are catching up with the pure bloods in the science dept. |
My doctor and my kids' pediatrician weren't against the booster by any means, but they said not to expect it to have much of a benefit after about 2-3 months. I already knew that, but was a bit surprised they were both so up-front about it. |
