| So do any work f the heirs pay taxes on their inheritance from Queen E2 |
Nobody who is royal pays taxes, they are all tax exempt, according to rumors even the whole extended family including the queens cousins |
This is not remotely true at all. Princess Margaret's kids had to sell off a lot of things to pay the massive tax bill on her estate. 40% went to taxes. |
The royal estates are tax free. Charles' inheritance and William's new dutchy are tax free, but anything the other kids or grandkids get is subject to taxation |
| Why would any inheritance from the Queens personal assets be tax exempt for Charles and William? |

Here. I did it for PP since they are so incapable. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/13/king-charles-will-not-pay-tax-on-inheritance-from-the-queen |
| It’s ridiculous in 2022 that taxpayers support these grifters. |
Time to write your member of Parliament and demand a change. |
All of their "government funding" is generated as revenue from the Crown Estate, which they also own. So if the "government" stopped supporting them, they would just take back over control of the Crown Estate and fund themselves. |

No the Crown Estate belongs to the government/people of the UK. The vast personal holdings are personal property.
The Crown Estate should go into a national trust and be managed to benefit the citizens not Charles and his collection of dippy family members. His personal property that he inherited should be taxed like everyone else. The bigger issue beyond avoiding taxes and hiding vast sums of wealth is the monarch’s ability to consent to legislation. This isn’t a ceremonial role as the Queens lawyers reviewed and engaged in back room lobbying on over 60 pieces of legislation. This legislation often involved taxation or other policies where the Crown had a personal financial interest. There is one up now involving legislation in Scotland to freeze rents but now King Charles lawyers are going to review it/suggest changes as KC has tenants in Scotland. Scotland has been pushing for freedom of information type stuff to bring transparency to these back room deals in favor of the monarch. They make a big show about Charles not going to an environmental conference but don’t think for a second that they aren’t politically involved when their money is involved. Queen Elizabeth was as guilty of this as Charles will be. |
No, the government doesn't own the Crown Estates. You need to read up on it. |
No the crown estate does not belong to the government. “ The Government also does not own The Crown Estate. It is managed by an independent organisation - established by statute - headed by a Board (also known as The Crown Estate Commissioners), and the surplus revenue from the estate is paid each year to the Treasury for the benefit of the nation's finances.” https://www.thecrownestate.co.uk/en-gb/resources/faqs/ |
It's funny how you speak so authoritatively about a subject you know so little about. Have you posted all the other nonsense and and misinformation on the royal family that clutters up this thread? |
This is incorrect. They pay taxes on annual income, including the Monarch (voluntarily). They don't pay an Estate Tax when the monarch passes away. |
