My daughter was just at a tournament in SoCal and lots of DPL and Aspire teams getting wins over RL teams big club RL teams also.

ECNL is a higher level overall but it seems like DPL/Aspire is not as far off from RL league.

Some of the Aspire teams are extremely good. Locally SYC's U12, U13, U14 Aspire teams are good and routine punch above their weight.

Then, look at New York FC Academy, they were entered into Aspire this year and beat VDA 6-2 in the U13 Bethesda Cup. They will probably promote all their Aspire teams into the GA.

And yes, there are some talented DPL teams that catch team off guard. People say it all the time, being in the league does not mean quality.

Yeah it just all depends really. Some Aspire teams might be a club's 3rd team, in many cases an Aspire team is a club's 2nd team, and in some cases an Aspire team could be a club's 1st team (NYCFC or The Football Academy)

man what a great tournament we are having in North Carolina!!! got me a new hat and everything. top level play, 3rd largest youth tournament as far as college program attendance...just awesome. comparing it to the ga tournament at the same place last month, my goodness.

The pictures posted by VDA did not look like their scouting sidelines were packed...MAYBE a dozen or so. Waiting to see the final social media hottake.

First of all, it is not a tournament, it is a showcase. Second, let us know if a top school coach approached your DD after the showcase. Enjoy your hat. That is probably the best thing that happened to you this past weekend. And probably the nice weather too.
