Me too I didn’t believe him, but I’m not apologizing cause I still think it’s weird AF especially since he said he’s just an acquaintance. My theory is he’s the parent of one of the kids Brendan coached or something like that. I could see bringing my kids coach cookies, but not some random Dad who is an acquaintance in the neighborhood.

I knew the couple and I feel sure Brendan is guilty. I'm wondering about those on the outside. To a completely neutral person, is there reasonable doubt? And what would the source of the doubt be?

a little inside baseball for yall. smith also testified that he was the tech agent. he went into the role a little. the tech agents role (among others) is to facilitate the recording of a uc meet. there are a variety of devices to do this. sometimes the uc has strong preferences about what device they want to use.

this takes a lot of coordination by the tech agents.

smith would have multiple reasons to know of the planned uc and meetings related to the uc.

closing friday morning and deliberations in the afternoon would be cool. verdict tomorrow?

Sounded like originally Juliana was supposed to be on that trip (which obviously got superseded by the “plan”). It seems like she must be talking about the one planned for the 24th, since this is less than two weeks prior and Brendan didn’t go to NY in the meantime. Since obviously there is reconciliation at some point in the next few days, from Christine’s POV, Juliana probably was still going on this (at some point fake) trip.

So Christine would have been alone and planned to have dinner with her parents alone. None of us will never know Christine’s side, but I think it’s potentially relevant since we know what often precipitates crimes like this from someone with Brendan’s profile. We also know Brendan likely received some kind of ultimatum from Juliana less than two weeks prior to the murders, just reading between the lines from those messages and then within days this intense messaging activity with Joe picks up.

Brendan said he was someone they knew from the gym, which I do think maaaany pages back when this person first posted, I feel like I remember something about the gym too. Since Juliana and Brendan went to the gym at the same time, I guess he would be a mutual friend or acquaintance.

I think cookie guy was also said in testimony to be at the gym with Juliana. So bit different per today’s testimony.

What could it be? Brendan looked like he was going to sh!t himself and Carroll hustled up with that objection SO fast. It has to be bad. I guess the CW held this card for rebuttal but it was one of the few battles they lost.

All in all, I think they won the war. The IRS agent today, in addition to revealing a big lie, set a strong emotional point. He was just such a straight arrow. No embroidery, no speculation, no wandering, just the facts ma’am. Quite a contrast to Brendan.
