Is this University of Southern California or South Carolina? I'm from the West Coast and we think California when we hear USC (which I agree has a beautiful campus) but on these boards, USC more often means South Carolina.

USC almost always = University of Sourthern California from anywhere.

I was there for a work thing, and just could not get over how beautiful the campus was. It probably helped that my conference was in a casino that was just horrible, so getting outside to walk around the gorgeous campus felt doubly wonderful.

I was investigating UNR for my daughter for a while. The pictures on their website really are quite pretty, with the mountains in the background.

I always like hearing about the schools that are not put forth as the default candidates. Some of the default candidates are not that great.

For appeal of the architecture, maybe. But for overall beauty of the architecture + surroundings, Cornell for sure.

Based solely on architecture, Cornell would be lower.

Agree. Overall it’s in the middle for Ivy campuses, which not surprisingly generally are all nice, because of the setting. If one were going by the buildings alone Cornell might be at the bottom.

Shockingly nice, especially considering how ugly Reno is. Close to skiing (45 minuted or so) if that interests your child.

Yeah the campus layout for Duke is horrendous. No idea how people can stand the campus.

It is a nice campus, but it is certainly less than ideal to have a freeway dividing significant parts.
