If you contact any ECNL or DA club, even now, they will look at you. Players can always be added if there is room.

That is what I'm saying. Some poster said there was no room, even though MU is holding ID sessions.

I'm aware clubs will look at a player at any time. Very easy.

I think what was said was rosters are done, and they are. What that means is teams are formed. That doesn't mean they are stuffed to the gills with 22 players. This year, MU is keeping an intentionally small roster and will - as with any club - make room for that special player.

what is "intentionally small"? 14? 16?

14-16 up to 18 MAX per roster was stated at the town hall meeting. Given the level of interest here, you were at the meeting, weren't you? It was open to all interested parties.

thanks. first of all, what's the big secret? this is a good thing. I wish more clubs would have smaller rosters. I applaud MU.
secondly, what is planned and what it ends up as can be two different things.

DP. Small rosters for next year are not a secret. That was announced to MU families as early as maybe February? I'm pretty sure it was talked about on this forum. It's one of the things that I'm excited about.

Well the plan wasn't a secret. The question is what are the current roster sizes.

I gues if you've lived through a 22 player roster, small probably IS a relative term.

Metro is going in the right direction in terms of roster sizes, while FCV has hit 21+ on their rosters.

Gotta increase the emailing list for the gym membership solicitations. The more families the better.

Our team played FCV and I didn't see 21 girls on their bench. Looks more like 17 or 18. No dog in this fight but thought someone needed to be honest.

Only 18 players can be rostered for a game.

Yes, and not just at FCV -- those who aren't rostered don't always show up. Or sometimes are rostered with a different age group so who is there on game day and who is on the roster does not always match up.

This year most FCV teams were capped at 18. Rosters for next year will be 21+. Unfortunate for players who will now not be rostered for games.
