What do you think is going on in Kavanaugh’s mind? Does he really not remember these incidents? Because they were so long ago? Because he was too drunk to remember?

Or does he remember something but doesn’t think what he remembers was bad? Because he thinks because he didn’t penetrate it wasn’t sex assault? But he’s a lawyer, so he must know what sex assault is. Or does he think that back then it wasn’t considered sex assault?

Or did he really just think no one would remember it or come forward?

For the life of me, I can’t understand what he was thinking, because this entire shitstorm seems so predictable from just a glance at his yearbook, and who would ever willing sign up for this?

I believe the victims, because there seems to be more corroboration there, but I cannot understand how Kavanaugh got himself into this mess, particularly post #metoo and particularly for a SCOTUS nomination. First federal judge nomination, I understand; no one outside of Washington pays attention to that and it was pre-metoo. I can see how he thought he’d get away with that. But, this? This was an insane gamble for him to take.

Unless he did not do it. Then it wasn’t a gamble.

Mark Judge can clear this whole thing up one way or the other. There is a reason they aren't allowing him to come forward.

Looks like Trump is meeting with Rosenstein on Thursday to fire him taking ALL the heat off Kav??

The BIG distraction. I challenge the news media (except Fox, which is pure propaganda) to ignore the Trump/Rosenstein meeting and keep their focus on Kavanaugh, which is what matters most on Thursday.

Again. Reporters have beats. Both will be well-covered.

No, I think he is used to lying. He lied about not knowing about the sexual harassment that kozinski was committing. There is no way he didn't know.

The Washington Post found him tonight, holed up in Bethany Beach. He’s not talking.

As of now, the Montgomery County Police Department has not received any report about this.

He also lied about not receiving the stolen Democratic emails. He's used to getting away with stuff.

That would be classic Trump. Distract from his douche failure of a nominee by making sure about a thousand dead man switched got thrown at one time.

Some of the Kavanaugh supporters' defenses based on Ford successfully escaping him and Mark Judge remind me of Sideshow Bob:

"I am presently incarcerated, imprisoned for a crime I did not even commit. "Attempted murder," now honestly, did they ever give anyone a Nobel prize for "attempted chemistry?" "

I think Kavanaugh thinks he can pull another Clarence Thomas and get through before all the deets come out. McConnell probabaly promised him that and Trump probably signed on. It’s all falling apart. If the Avenatti story is true, he might be facing impeachment.

Anonymous wrote:Kavanaugh likes to cite the 65 high schoolers supporting him. Well already 900 Yale alumnae have signed a letter supporting his accuser. The Virgin Kegger is losing the numbers game.

Unlike the Yale alumnae, the 65 people actually KNOW the man they are talking about.

Keep up, moron. Front page of the NYT, one of the 65 has her name plastered across the GP yearbook with the insinuation that she slept with many boys, including our friend Brett. SHE DID NOT KNOW THIS WHEN SHE SIGNED THE LETTER, and know feels completely betrayed.

ok so it's 64 to 0 instead of 65 to 0. Moron.

Actually they”re just down to 7 women of the original 65 who still support Brett. 7.

Where did the rest go?

Anonymous wrote:My heart broke for Renate Dolphin in that New York Times story about the "Renate Alumni" entries in the Gtown yearbook. They were bragging about having sex with that poor girl, and they had a rhyme about her:

"Michael Walsh, another Georgetown Prep alumnus, also listed himself on his personal yearbook page as a “Renate Alumnus.” Alongside some song lyrics, he included a short poem: “You need a date / and it’s getting late / so don’t hesitate / to call Renate.”
. . .
Ms. Dolphin was aware that members of Judge Kavanaugh’s clique were reciting that poem, according to a person familiar with her thinking. She told the football players that she found it offensive, believing it made her seem like a cheap date, and she asked them to stop."

What a bunch of entitled assholes. They're like every 80s James Spader character rolled into one.

If you felt sorry for her you should not have repeated that garbage here. I never would have read it otherwise.

Half the country thinks she is a slut now and you think she is worried about anonymous DCUM posters?

The failing NY Times and its liberal followers have the dirtiest mind. It's only the NY Times and liberals that are insinuating "she is a slut".

Renate signed the letter supporting Kavanaugh. I don't see anywhere in the Times article she retracted her endorsement.

Maybe you were blinded to the part where she said the yearbook posts were "horrible, hurtful and simply untrue. I pray their daughters are never treated this way."
