Virginia referendum - if you hate MAGA, vote YES (even if your mailing says to vote 'No')

I am democrat, hate MAGA and I voted NO.

I am a republican, love MAGA and I voted YES.

I’m a Bernie Bro and I voted no. Not only done that rhyme, but billionaire oligarchs are funding the “yes” movement and they must be stopped

Congrats! Enjoy living under MAGA for the foreseeable future. Conservative Supreme Court, a total lack of integrity, record corruption, waning power on the world stage, and a crappy economy.

Voting yes on election day. If Texas goes back to their old, fairer maps, then Virginia can too. Until then, this is the solution to the majority of the commonwealth being disenfranchised.

So tired of people telling others how to vote.
And no one should ever vote if they have not done the work to educate themselves on the issues. Being directed like a dog to perform is not what democracy should be about. But here we are.

I voted yes and was sad about it. I’m glad it is temporary.

I realized as the Trump signs on the lawns around me turned into vote NO signs that the people who ares saying that aren’t doing it out of principle. If it were Republicans redistricting, they would be just fine with it. They voted for Trump who is a liar, a bankrupt sexual assaulter and bringing our country to its knees. They have no principles and the only way to stop the monster is to have a temporary redistricting measure. They would do the same, and voted for someone who stormed the US capital to stay in power.

It was a sad vote, but like when I parent my kids, sometimes even sad things need to happen.

California already compensated for Texas' changes. Virginia doesn't need to change their maps.

Okay, then to counter North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio, and Indiana.

You are the one who is a liar. You were not sad about it. You were overcome with joy casting that vote, enabling your “side” to steal 4 seats in the House. You think you upped Trump, you didn’t. But congratulations, you just taught those kids that two wrongs make a right. Great parenting!

Virginia is attempting to compensate for all of the other Republican states that gerrymandered after Texas: Missouri, Ohio, and North Carolina. And Florida is on deck. None of those states offered it up to the voters directly, either.

So you’ll be cool when FL reciprocates? Listen to yourself!
