Maybe Stephanie Sheron, Chief, Office of Strategic Initiatives, another former MS principal crony McKnight promoted?

All I know is whoever the people on this post like should never be in charge of MCPS. It's like some kind of crazed witchhunt where gossip and rumor runs rampant.

They were out for Dr. McKnight's head from day 1. This was just the excuse they were looking for. It didn't even matter what Bieddleman did or didn't do. They never cared. It was always about McKnight.

As excuses go, even you have to admit that these excuses were really good ones.

The board did her the COURTESY of offering her the chance to resign quietly. What did she do with that courtesy? She threw it back in their faces by making their PRIVATE conversations PUBLIC. SHE made it impossible to continue as an employee of the board and SHE made it impossible to continue as a manager in this school system. Now she’s dragging the credibility of the NAACP down with her. Her behavior has been shameful. I hope the BOE goes with her because all of them allegedly oversaw this mess longer than she did.

If you want all to go, get the Montgomery county council to take action. If they don't, vote the council members out!

The County Council cannot force the BOE to fire McKnight

Maybe she needs some restorative justice?

Do it!

The BOE, in charge of firing the superintendent, is firing her. We just don't know what the pay-off is going to be yet.

That's nice. But not enough. Even without the unredacted report, there's enough for the Council to be incensed.

They can be incensed. It's not their job, though. The BoE is the duly elected body to handle it.

If it wasn’t the council’s job to fire the school board they wouldn’t have the authority to do it. I don’t think the council should fire the school board right now but it is actually part of their job.

Council certainly can if they need to.

They don't need to fire board members but they need to exert more pressure on them publicly and privately to clean up MCPS. The messes are overwhelming.

If he were serious about this he would have asked the AG for an opinion stating whether MCPS's redactions were required by law or whether they were discretionary. This is grandstanding from someone who wants to be county executive. The BOE is going to tell him to get lost and he'll quietly let it slide.

Correct. It's empty gesturing and posturing.

If the BOE wants to terminate McKnight, and the unredacted version would implicate McKnight (and her direct reports), isn't it beneficial to their case to share that?

Yes, but you don't also want to get fired for personnel/HR law.
