Board wants Monifa to step down

MCPS/BOE is all about DEI and hiring nonwhite people. There are several board members who are black women. This is not about race.

It's about incompetence, favoritism, and the lack of trust.

She's got too much baggage now and has lost the confidence of the people she is supposed to lead.

No, it isn't. They're part-timers. There is a whole staff at central office in HR and OSSWB who have FT jobs to do all the vetting.

I don't have any issues withMcKnight being gone. But it's not okay for the BOE to be off the hook either.

Here’s my issue with making this a race issue. There was clear mismanagement, clear cronyism, clear malfeasance.

Not qualified, this is a school system not the military. You have to hold a superintendent certification which requires experience as an educator.
