War with Iran

As Gen. Grynkewich put it, the hardest part of a short two-week war is the first couple of years. Moscow expected collapse. Instead, it got a country that kept fighting until its whole timeline fell apart.

Maybe this is instructive for people willing to learn.

Putin and Trump fell victim to hubris. Trump didn’t want to listen to any expert advice, including from his appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He “felt” Iran would quickly capitulate and would never close the Strait of Hormuz or fire missiles at the Gulf states. When Trump launched the war, his message was calling for regime change. That message meant the Iranians would fight back with everything they have against a conflict they viewed as an existential threat. Trump is a moron who thought he could quickly install a compliant regime in Iran and had no plan for the Iranians fighting back. Instead of installing a compliant leader in Iran, he has empowered the IRGC and the most hard line elements in the country.

Now, he is trapped in a conflict with no quick exit. He is calling for negotiations, but the Iranians won’t negotiate when he bombed them twice in the middle of negotiations. He is moving thousands of troops to the Middle East to a ground invasion. It probably launches after the markets close Friday night or Saturday morning. This is going to be a bloody and prolonged mess. This war has made me see heads no idea what he is doing. He is trying to bluster and bluff his way out of a poorly planed mess he created by launching the unnecessary war of choice.

This exactly.

And Pete Hogsbreath as the temerity to request a $1T annual budget for the Pentagon! He needs to be jailed.

Iran threatens key Red Sea strait if US launches ground operation.

Israel wants Bab wl Mandeb and has made a deal with Somaliland. They have made a lot of investment in destabilizing the Horn of Africa for this very reason.

The Houthis are rag tag warriors. They have the warrior ethos but not sure how they can hold up against the sophisticated weapons from the US.

They held up very well given they shot down a dozen of our drones. Can the US stop thinking remote controlled or AI drones are the way to go? Manpower is still key over AI. A drone cannot defend itself against guerilla forces. We bombed innocent families with those manless drones and they took to the mountains with AK47s and shot many of them down.

They shot so many drones down that we lost billions of dollars in these BS remote controlled helicopter toys that Trump had to withdraw last year.

We have the thinking that war can be modernized via AI and technology and that’s not the case. Guerilla warfare is still key. You need human capabilities to complete a real war. You need to be on mountaintops, in the trenches, on the ground or in the sea waiting for enemy targets. That’s how war should be done not through AI or Siri commands from someone at a command station hundreds of miles away

We’ve become so soft. War is hard. It is brutal. It is laborous and arduous. It should not be done if not absolutely necessary for our national security and best interest.

There’s nothing that I can think of that points to Iran becoming a serious national security threat to the US or even its neighbors. Correct me if I’m wrong but they didn’t attack Israel or the Gulf states until after this war began. Since when did Iran randomly strike these places or the US before we began striking them?

Why anyone is 1. Shocked that nothing Trump says are lies 90% of the time? 2. Ever interested in what Trump says? He's a bonafide liar and it should be assumed everything coming out of his moth is garbage since he's a big piece of orange trash.

People take him way too seriously. As a person he's a joke and doubly so as POTUS!

What's even worse is when Trump is telling "his" truth because some aide showed him a fake video and told him what he wanted to hear.

As opposed to anyone who would replace him stopping the war or genocide. It's so nauseating that there are fools who still try to pull this "Bibi's War" BS. "Liberal Zionism" in a nutshell.

Tell us which replacement is a "dove." Naftali who said Turkey and Qatar are next? Or Lapid who is just as bloodthirsty as the rest of that monstrous ethnostate with every disgusting statement I could pull up from him.

Trump needs to call it a win and stop this crap. All of that LNG siting on the ships in the strait is evaporating. If this thing go on for months, the LNG oil will be gone from the barrels. It’s liquified. Between Qatar’s LNG plant being partially destroyed with months of repair and no ships leaving the strait in four weeks and counting, people are going to severely suffer.

The Philippines had called a national emergency. Malaysia, where most of the world’s hospital gloves are made, have stated that the lack of oil impacts that supply chain.

Unfortunately, we are at the point where Israel and the US will have to make serious concessions to Iran to get the war to stop.

A belligerent, genocidal s-hole is the only reason this won't stop since they are the reason it started.
