Political Discussion
Because it appears that Zionists on here are making no sense, sound really old or are hypocrites (per usual) when they try to mock IG only when it doesn't suit their BS. Instagram isn't a SOURCE, it's the host for the source. Do you understand the difference? Explain to me the laughing off of a platform as a conduit w/o addressing the content itself. You do understand that you can find thousands of IGs w/ archival news footage and not just like, influencers showing you how to do your makeup like Kylie Jenner. Explain how Instagram merely being the platform to post a lecture by Avi Shlaim and his experiences as an Iraqi Jew, invalidates the lecture itself. I mean you guys do understand that when we post things from there, it's news sources or actual videos long before AI. It takes a lot of nerve to post "Israel claims" sources and Times of Isr, while laughing off actual videos of Israel's brutality long before Oct 7. Usually, it's just cowardice and deflection. |

Russia planned two weeks. Ukraine turned it into years.
ㅤ As Gen. Grynkewich put it, the hardest part of a short two-week war is the first couple of years. Moscow expected collapse. Instead, it got a country that kept fighting until its whole timeline fell apart. Maybe this is instructive for people willing to learn. |
Putin and Trump fell victim to hubris. Trump didn’t want to listen to any expert advice, including from his appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He “felt” Iran would quickly capitulate and would never close the Strait of Hormuz or fire missiles at the Gulf states. When Trump launched the war, his message was calling for regime change. That message meant the Iranians would fight back with everything they have against a conflict they viewed as an existential threat. Trump is a moron who thought he could quickly install a compliant regime in Iran and had no plan for the Iranians fighting back. Instead of installing a compliant leader in Iran, he has empowered the IRGC and the most hard line elements in the country. Now, he is trapped in a conflict with no quick exit. He is calling for negotiations, but the Iranians won’t negotiate when he bombed them twice in the middle of negotiations. He is moving thousands of troops to the Middle East to a ground invasion. It probably launches after the markets close Friday night or Saturday morning. This is going to be a bloody and prolonged mess. This war has made me see heads no idea what he is doing. He is trying to bluster and bluff his way out of a poorly planed mess he created by launching the unnecessary war of choice. |
| NYTimes: 13 U.S. bases in the Middle East were damaged by Iranian strikes, some now are unfit for operations. Thousands of troops were evacuated to hotels, civilian sites or relocated abroad. |

So they ran us out of the region?? Where’s the next closest base? Why did they have to go all the way to Cyprus instead of using Israel? |

Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency has reported that Tehran has responded to Donald Trump’s 15-point proposal to end the war, adding that it was awaiting a reply from the US.
Citing an “informed source”, the news agency said Iran sent the response last night through intermediaries. In its response, Iran has stipulated its own conditions for an end to the conflict, which were also reported yesterday by other Iranian media outlets. Those conditions include: An end to “aggression and terror”. Guarantees preventing the reoccurrence of war against Iran. Compensation for war damage and reparations. End of war “on all fronts” and against “all resistance groups” across the Middle East. Recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the strait of Hormuz, stating that its Tehran’s “natural and legal right”. Tasnim reported that these conditions are separate from the demands presented to the other side in the second round of talks in Geneva before the US and Israeli launched an attack on Iran in February. In further comments, translated from Persian below, the news agency said: The informed source, however, stressed: It is clear to Iran that the US claim of negotiation is merely a ‘third deception project’, and that the Americans are pursuing several objectives under the guise of their claim to negotiate: First, deceiving the world by presenting an apparently peace-loving image and a desire to end the war; second, keeping the price of oil low globally; and third, buying time to prepare for a new act of aggression in southern Iran via a ground invasion. |

Has anyone mentioned that Iran has threatened to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait if the US launches ground operations? That would be catastrophic.
