I'm a black woman, how should I wear my natural hair to attract a man? Straight vs braids vs "out"

Anonymous
I have typically worn my hair in a bun for work, and loose on weekends. Past boyfriends would always comment they preferred my hair straight.

So should I wear it straight? I'm open to dating men of ALL races.

Men, do you prefer a black woman with bone straight hair, or the Afro curls?

I love my nappy curls and have no plans to relax my hair in the foreseeable future, but I am willing to become a straight haired natural if it means my love life may improve. I need help!

I say wear it however you'd like. Wear it whatever way makes YOU feel the most attractive and sexy. Men really don't care. An attractive woman is just that.

Women with weaves, twists, braids, kinks, curls and straight hair are approached and proposed to 7 days a week.

Wear your hair the way YOU like it. Men shouldn't be telling you how to wear your hair, and attracting a man shouldn't be your motivation for doing your hair a certain way. You want a man who likes YOU - not who likes only a specific hair style.

This.

-a black woman who's had hair long and short, straight and natural, depending on MY preference

I much prefer curly and natural hair! But agree you should wear your hair in the way that feels good to you. Your ease and joy will radiate and that will make
you more attractive to everyone.

Just wear it how you like and in a way that is most flattering to you.

Whatever. She's asking what do men prefer.

I'm also black and did a big cut on my hair, which has now grown back to about my shoulders without a relaxer. I wear it curly because it's easiest, but without a doubt I get more looks and male attention when my hair is straight (I can't get it straight without a salon so I rarely wear it that way but the change I get from men when I bother is clear). My husband prefers it straight although he's fine with the curly (not like there's anything much he can do anyway). Oddly, I get more compliments from women when my hair is curly. I've never worn braids so I can't say about that.

Wear it however you think looks best.

I'm a white guy. Personally, I think natural hair is best. Elaborate hair solutions that prevent you from swimming or washing your hair regularly seem like such a hassle.

Guy here. I'm attracted to a whole person and overall, hair has little to do with it. I'd echo what everyone else is telling you: wear it how YOU like it and in whatever way makes YOU feel confident.

Guy here. I once saw a photo of Naomi Campbell with a head of bald spots. All I saw was a gorgeous woman with a phenomenal figure. You can wear a lampshade over your hair if you want.

Wrong or right, I get more compliments when my hair is straight. I get told I look "hot" a lot more when it's straight.
