I ordered something on August 27th. Didn't get an email confirming the order until August 1st, a full 5 business days after. Got a shipping notification on August 2nd, and the package is supposed to arrive today.
So a full 7 business days to get an order? I think I'm definitely spoiled by shopping at places like amazon and revolve. |

A week is pretty good so I don't understand you're complaint. I am assuming you meant Sept 1st and 2nd above.
Normally you can pay more to have it shipped more quickly. |

I've never had that happen with Nordstrom. I've even had items that were shown as "backordered" ship right away, after they located the item in a store.
But I agree with the PP that you're receiving the item within a week, so what's the problem? |

I've definitely had some longer ship times with Nordstrom. And sometimes they were just a few days. If I need something fast I do 2 day shipping.
I love Nordstrom because they have amazing customer service and returning things is so easy. |
I had the same thing happen during the anniversary sale. But hasn't happened any other time. |

| I've never had it take that long for Nordstrom to send an order confirmation and I order from them online all the time. My guess is that there was a glitch in their system that held it up, not that it was some systemic thing. |
None of my items were even on sale. In any case, I am probably spoiled by the merchants I normally shop with. This is why traditional brick & mortar retail is dying. |

| Eh, sometimes even Amazon takes longer than 2 business days, even with Prime. Things happen. I've often had the opposite experience with Nordstroms - things have come much quicker than expected. Long shipping times are the exception, not the rule, and for the quality, selection, and excellent return policy, I still find it worth it to shop at Nordstroms. |

I was waiting and waiting for an order from Rack--the website said the order had a shipping label but there was never any new info on where the package was. I called and they cancelled that order (said it was "lost" and I had to re-order the items). They did give me free two day shipping on the re-order.
A week later (yesterday) the original package showed up and now I guess I have to deal with that...not impressed. Why're also annoying because if you opt out of their marketing emails they won't send you emails about your order, you have to go on the website to check the status. |
