Ordered shoes for pick up. Online said in stock. No verification that I did the order in email or anywhere. So I called. It was verified as saying they recieved the order but that it was not ready for pickup for another 20 days! It also said I could not cancel the order and that the money would be held up until the shoes were ready for pick up, in 20 days! Leaving for France in 2 days with no shoes. While I can purchase somewhere else, I don't get as to how when it says in stock, at a certain store they can get away with this type of practice. Makes me stay away from Nordstrom.
You are just spoiled by Amazon and 2 day shipping. A week to get your items is perfectly reasonable.
Sounds like not much changed over the past 7 years

Come on guys, Nordstrom is a brick and mortar store not an online warehouse. Their inventory is in the stores and they have to locate it, box it, ship it, etc. They are not set up for that in the same way Amazon is.
