Yes. The involvement of US military, US military contractors, and other high level UN and international officials in sex trafficking and prostitution in Bosnia was a major problem that eventually was uncovered but, sadly, never resulted in prosecution, although the woman fired for uncovering it did eventually win a court-ordered employment settlement. It resulted in the addition to all USG contracts that the contractor shall not take part in prostitution or trafficking in persons. It's also been a problem in the Secret Service.

Is there a lot of cheating among women in the U.S. when their husbands are overseas? Sadly, yes. No different for men.

I know more women who cheated on their husbands while deployed than vice versa.

This. The military men were working 12 hour + days while deployed...mostly with other men. The women were staying home twiddling their thumbs, throwing MLM parties and looking for new relationships.

Yes. I've heard several stories about people cheating while on deployment or stationed overseas. It happens.

A lot of high ranking military officers got caught cheating, just do search online and read about it. It's from top to bottom.

My sister's Fiance is oversees right now until next June.
She says she is worried about all she has heard with the partying and clubs. Her FI works until 11pm and then they 'go out for beers' occasionally.
I personally think he is going to clubs and strip clubs but would NEVER tell her that. She wants to believe he would never do that. Personally, it is just to easy NOT to do that oversees where there is like 0 chance of your significant other here in the US ever finding out or meeting 'the other woman'.

It's rampant. I've been married for ages, and I am good friends with some military guys. Since I've always been married, they view me more as a friend than as some woman they might be interested in, so they're more honest with me than I think they otherwise might be. Cheating, hookers, strip clubs, other girlfriends are all rampant in the military, even among the more upstanding guys.

I've heard enough to pretty much assume that, when a guy is deployed, at least one member of the couple (the one overseas or the one home) is or has cheated.
