2022 Senate Map

IS BIDEN ON THE BALLOT?!? I mean seriously, voters are smart enough to be able to uncouple president and senators and other elected officials. Biden’s approval comes from across the spectrum but will have zero impact on next election. It will be on how voters feel about economy (hopefully gas prices keep going down!) and abortion. And the GOP is making it an easy choice on both fronts. Instead of coming forward with any proposals to lower costs, they’re banning books, inspecting children’s genitals, and telling kids to carry rapists babies.

I think that’s the point. Voters have forever claimed to hate what’s going on in Washington but easily re-elected their incumbent senators and representative. There’s not a lot of actual evidence that this year will be very different, despite all the screeching about a “RED WAVE!!!!1!11!1!”

No, Biden is not on the ballot. But, his policies are.
And, the American voters don't want what he is selling. They have seen this Democratic Congress vote in lock-step with what Biden wants (except for Manchin and on occasion, Sinema). They want a Congress that will put a halt to his spending and policies that are squeezing the middle and lower classes.
Gas prices are only one measure of this oncoming recession. They have dropped, but are still nearly $2/gallon more than when he took office. And, diesel prices are still high. And, you know what runs on diesel? Those trucks that deliver the goods that people buy. And, the costs for that diesel is passed on in the way of higher prices at the register.

I read your post as someone desperate to convince themselves that Democrats are going to remain in power after November. I think you are very wrong... especially when it comes to Pelosi. I will be thrilled to see her go.
The Senate is much closer, but don't be surprised if you are looking a Leader McConnell again.

Which Senate seats do you see Republicans winning, that they don't already hold?

You’re delusional if you think gas will ever get to prepandemic or pandemic times. We are living in a different world.
I agree Dems have a challenge in holding the House, senate, not with the freaks GOP put up. But we’ll see.

Which policies, exactly? Because on another thread he's accused of doing nothing for the last two years.

Gas prices have nothing to do with "his policies" but are reflecting supply and demand. But you already know this.

I have no doubt we may have Leader McConnell again. But that's for a lot of reasons, including how incredibly stupid many people are and how quickly they are repeatedly willing to vote for people who don't support any policies to help them. Biden's policies would if he could get them through . . . he can't. Google: fillibuster.

He continues to push BBB despite the fact that it was defeated. Had it not been for Manchin and Sinema, we would be in even worse shape now.
But, Biden doesn't get it. Still wants to spend, spend, spend. It's almost as if he doesn't care about the plight of the middle and lower classes.

And Republicans care about the middle and lower classes?

They want to raise taxes on them, so they “have some skin in the game.” Seriously that’s Rick Scott’s plan, part of the horrific GOP plan to further ruin America.

Also part of that plan: sunsetting Social Security and Medicare.

Is this the same polling that missed the boat in va and nj. Things were better than the dumpster fire we are in right now.

My guess is that democrat turnout will be lackluster and the replubicans will gain control of the senate again even with their fringe candidates. The house is pretty much gone and any downballet democrat with no name recognition

Really? You underestimate how motivated and pissed women are. My bets are Dems hold both chambers, in the Senate they’ll pick up 2 seats. If anyone is demoralized it’s RINO’s who may stay home.
