July payrolls expected 700k new jobs... actual number 200k. Heck of a job Biden |
Cool, now do the prior months. |
Yep. Pitiful. When you continue to pay people not to work, they don't work. Extended unemployment, rent moratorium, child payments, expanded food assistance.....all these have an impact to disincentivize work. |
Actually, this is happening in states that have turned down the federal help. What do you got now? |
Wow. I didn't know states could "turn down" a rent moratorium, payments to people with children and expanded food assistance. Please elaborate on which states have turned down these things. |
So let's see:
* huge jobs miss, and tons of signs the economy is slowing * inflation * afghanistan overrun by the taliban * covid re-emerging and out of contol * no plans for a warp speed to get booster vaccines this is all in the span of less than year under the new administration. epic failure. biden honeymoon is over. he was riding the wave that started under the previous administration. the speed at which everything is reversing course in a bad way is truly alarming. |
Your first listed was extended unemployment. Sit down. Here you go for food assistance https://www.cbsnews.com/news/states-begin-rolling-back-pandemic-related-emergency-food-assistance/ Google is your friends. Sit down. |
LOL. The previous administration? The one that freed 5000 Taliban? The one that passed an unnecessary tax bill when the economy was doing well already? The one that is actively pushing people not to get vaccinated or wear masks and is having Trump starting a national tour to that effect? That previous admin? BTW, Biden is still 10 points higher in approval rating than Trump at this point. |
Keep making excuses. You sound just as bad as the GOP who obsessed over Obama well into the Trump presidency. The numbers don't lie, Biden's poll numbers are TANKING, and the Democrats are about to get crushed in 2022: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/this-poll-number-will-send-democrats-into-a-panic/ar-AAO2quQ?ocid=msedgntp |
States that cut off extended unemployment benefits earlier didn't see larger gains in employment than states that did not. This particular "disincentive" to work is vastly, vastly overblown by conservatives. |
The data shows that those states that ended the extra unemployment did not see an increase in employment. The disincentive to work theory does not hold up. I don't know why this was a surprise. Delta pushed back the return to offices, which spurs spending because people get lunch etc, and people in general have not come close to returning to pre-pandemic consumption habits. There's still barely any business travel. Rent relief has still not been disbursed. Until people go back to the office and the rent situation is cleared up we're going to have anemic employment growth since so much of our economy is services related. |
this is what happens when idiots let a deadly virus spread just to own the other side
If people would have just gotten vaxxed, we could be in a much better spot economically and health-wise |
