Why does it matter whether hes arrested now or 5 days from now? To assuage the mob? That's simply the only reason |

We should all take a knee whenever our national anthem is played.

Not downplaying the horribleness of what happened but it's not just a problem for black people. White people are far more likely to be killed by cops by numbers alone (not by percentage of pop, though).
It's a cop problem. https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/ |
| Minneapolis seems like a sad, strange flyover city with racism. |
Up until recent events, no minneapolis was very much seen as a thriving up and coming city. But that's out the window. |
Then don't. |

| This whole thing is a christmas present to the president. If this had remained peaceful they would have had the upper hand and the weight of public opinion. |
It's not downplaying. Those are the facts. We have a cop problem. Period. |
Minneapolis has had a large number of incidents of police violence over the past few years. This didn’t spring up out of nowhere. “Police accountability experts, court documents, stalled state legislation and a 2015 report by the U.S. Justice Department about policing in Minneapolis all point to a clear pattern: Even as officials have made some changes, law enforcement agencies have lacked either the authority or the will to discipline and remove bad officers from patrol. They have also failed to set clear criteria on the use of force and de-escalation.” https://www.themarshallproject.org/2020/05/28/before-george-floyd-s-death-minneapolis-police-failed-to-adopt-reforms-remove-bad-officers |
Get out of your sheltered little sh!tshack every now and then. Minneapolis is a beautiful city. |
I heard that question and thought the same thing. But there is a separate video which seems to have been taken after they left the autozone. It shows both of them coming down a grassy berm and then walking together down a sidewalk for at least 25 yards before that video cuts off. So I don't know, it could be that the kid in pink is still trying to get the goods on umbrella man. When I rewatched the first one I was no longer sure that the kid was the one asking if he was a cop. |
+1 I've never been but I know it has art, music, parks, diversity, and a strong economy. What an ignoramus. |
| The second video was on a long twitter thread that started with someone retweeting Ellison's tweet. |
