Even better, the transcript of the call showed no wrongdoing so they had to scramble and create the extortion narrative. Put two and two together, they say. The funny part is, Biden bragged on tape about him withholding 1 billion in aid unless the prosecutor was fired, and the narrative there is “well, the prosecutor was corrupt”. Let’s say that the firing had nothing to do with Hunter Biden - what Biden did is still extortion.

No, this won't boomerang onto Biden.

What Biden did was US policy. You can complain about policy but it's not extortion. What Trump has been doing is not policy.

If Trump had gone to the Ukraine and insisted on the firing of a prosecutor investigating his son, Don Jr., in exchange for &1 billion, somehow I don't think you would this this.

Except that isn't what happened. Biden happened to be the messenger for a worldwide opinion including all of the republicans in the US Congress. His son didn't join the company until two years after the investigation.

Because that is not what happened. That’s not the timeline of events and not what Biden did or bragged about doing.

What DID happen was Trump sent Ghouliani, through a back channel, to negotiate a deal with a foreign leader wherein he would receive his aide upon agreeing to “revisit” the long-settled Biden issue. Both Ghouliani and Trump admitted this. The WB transcript bears it out, and the real transcript, which likely is even more explicit, is hidden. Then, to top it all off, because the crimes we know about already aren’t serious enough, he threatened the life of the whistle blower who told on him. Extortion, witnesses tampering, obstruction.

Not PP but Burisma was being investigated for activities between 2010-2012 before Biden got there.

And they appointed Hunter Biden and Western Europeans to the board when they reorganized in 2014 explicitly to demonstrate to investors and lenders in the West that they were no longer affiliated with the Kremlin-leaning people who were the subjects of the investigation.

When the ICIG has instructed that a complaint be sent to the House Intelligence Committee and the White House intervenes to prevent that from happening, it's not a huge leap to assume that the White House has done this to protect itself.
