Newsom will be our next president. |
Then we deserve what we get. I didn’t think there could be a worse and more awful candidate than Trump, but there is, and it is Newsom. - Californian who deeply regrets voting for him |
But what is his base in the Democratic party? I don't think he's particularly popular in California. I'm not even sure what the Dem platform will be in 2028 coming off expected pickups in 2026. Maybe it's easy to ride an anti-Trump wave in the general, but winning the primary will be different. Someone will rise to capture the popular imagination. Recently, it's been folks like Obama, AOC, and now Mamdani. |
Gavin + AOC
Gavin + Pete B. |
Gov of Illinois. |
Omg would you stop with the Mayor Pete nonsense. Tell me you’re an UMC liberal from the east coast without telling me you’re an UMC liberal from the East Coast. |
Newsom + Debbie Dingell (MI) would be a compelling ticket. |
No and No I like AOC. I like PB. You've seen what America is. Be realistic. |
Dems definitely need a midwesterner, whether it’s Dingell or not. Coastal elites in the party despise them but they cannot win without them. |
Beshear Beshear Beshear
A Dem in KY and one of the most popular Governors in the US The coasts will vote for him. Middle America will vote for him. I also like Chris Murphy but I fear that many people hate Connecticut too much. |
It is Tim Kaine, I tell you. He would have a strong chance against Vance (if he runs). |
Connecticut, the suburb of New York. Hated by the middle because of its Donne thon to NYC. Hated NYers because it isn’t NYC. |
A Sean O’Brien and Ro Khanna ticket would win in a landslide but the Dems care more appealing to rich white people and their donors than winning elections, so we’ll get Mayor Pete or Gretchen Whitmer and get creamed. |
