GFR Falling apart?

NM admitted that he made no attempts at dealing with the club as a whole only a few age groups on the girls side. That's very self serving and not club focused it's TF focused and that is who even the PPs credited for improvements. Everyone on the board seemd to agree that things were handled poorly and timing was very bad. Most of the latest issues only arose when NM came aboard. having a positive impact on 1/3 of the club is not worth the questions that come with him about double and triple dipping at other clubs and the long term damage this has already caused the entire club after just 10 months of association

That is not, I think, a fair characterization of what NM said but regardless whether NM was performing the TD role well was not the issue or the source of the "long term damage" to the club. The "damage," such as it is, was caused by the abrupt disruption caused by ML's takeover attempt and cancellation.

As PP stated, building and implementing a foundation curriculum by a new TD takes time. We can agree to disagree whether NM was doing that fast enough or well. The TF coaches have a possession-based, long term development approach that I think will serve the club well and I agree that this needs to be extended to all teams. I just think your expectations are unrealistic for how long it will take for those effects to propagate throughout the whole club.

But the right way to raise concerns about TF/NM's performance is in constructive dialogue with the Board or RS or NM. None of the concerns you are raising now were the basis for the disruption in April or justify it. Nor is it fair or accurate to ascribe the harm that came from that disruption to NM rather than to the people actually responsible for it.

Well said. It’s hard to fully impact a club when many -most?- of your weeknights and weekends are spent with another clubs ECNL teams.

That is just one more negative consequence of the ML-led Board’s ill-advised decision to purport to cancel the TF contract. Place the blame where it belongs.

Both things can be true. Questionable decision to bring him in initially compounded by bumbling incompetent execution of trying to get rid of him vs the negligible benefit to club overall (outside of the minority # of girls teams coached by then)

Hopefully this, from the Board, will satisfy everyone calling for more transparency. If you think the club can be better, get involved constructively.

Transparency & Communication

We acknowledge that recent events have led to Member concerns. To promote confidence and transparency, we are implementing the following key initiatives:
    •    Identifying an independent auditor to review club finances
    •    Hosting regular Member Meetings to promote open dialogue
    •    Adopting a standalone Conflict of Interest Policy for all board members, coaches, and volunteers
    •    Launching a Transparency Portal on our website, which will include:
    •    Monthly board meeting minutes
    •    Financial statements
    •    Key leadership decisions and policy updates

Did the teams with the really expensive coaches pay a lot more than the regular teams or was everyone else subsidizing their "star" coaches?

Of course they are going to send out a “communication and transparency note” to their paying customers, what’s left of them. Isn’t this convenient how this comes out after they are being summoned to court. This is a day late and a dollar short. Reactive toddler behavior when you know you are caught red handed.

Some trolls just never get beyond yelling “pay the toll” from under the bridge.

Thanks for the feedback Moronio. For someone who cares so much about GFR you certainly are trying to paid off of your lawsuit against them. Did your cheap dime store lawyer convince you this was a good case? Because it’s not and you just opened yourself up to a counter suit.

are you stupid? they have admitted no wrongdoing and you’re still clinging to rumors. ML’s behavior is the sole reason for losing paying customers and I agree with the above post. He’s got a dime store attorney who chose to take this case probably because he owes ML a favor and now will end up having to defend ML on a huge countersuit!

He acts very irrationally. Tried a coup to fire RS without reading the bylaws. Terminates a contract with TF that has 8 coaches on it. Then gets his ass handed to him and sends out a nasty gram email implying embezzlement (even though he is on record at a coaches meeting saying there was no financial irregularities). And now he is suing the club he claims he loves so much. He is unhinged and getting bad advice from a cheap ambulance chasing lawyer. Bro is definitely going to get counter sued for defamation.
