I have to agree, even though I think he's a murderer.

Same. I think he's guilty but he's coming off as much less arrogant than I thought he would. Can't wait to see how they cross examine him!

Its interesting, he comes off likable but he has a resting dope face.

I listened to most of his testimony and he does not come across as likable at all. He came across as very arrogant and privileged. They lived a nice upper middle class life style, with two stable well paying jobs, and a side gig. Nice house in a nice neighborhood. One child, and a lot of support from extended family, in addition to aur pair. He had too much free time on his hands and chose to use it for improper purposes, like affairs and murdering your own spouse.

I hope the jury agrees with you and not me! To me he comes off (so far based solely on today’s testimony) as a likeable/normal/average guy. I hope the CW tears him apart, of course, but based on his performance today, I’m worried.

Prosecution practically got his interpretation of a complete 2 days worth of testimony tossed before she began. All he can confirm is that there was activity on the devices.

Two days gone in minutes: How the prosecution flipped the digital case

NBC 4's headline on the prosecution today

All of this is AI written...it's so obvious.

Doesn’t change the facts. What’s your point?

I dunno man. At this point I feel like there’s room for at least one juror to say “I think he did it but they didn’t quite prove it.” What a mess!

And this is when she made a huge mistake, never ever give the cheater second chance.

Stop victim blaming. If you knew them in real life and she had divorced him you would be gossiping about how she couldn’t keep her man and she broke the family up and blah blah blah. It’s always going to be the woman’s fault for you.

I don’t think he’s coming across as likable about. I think they’re trying to show him as the mild mannered goof who could never pull things off, but it’s not playing. The arrogance is in the lie. The jury has to know he’s lying.

Agree that we will definitely hear about the phone in the drawer when it’s always supposed to be with her! And now the CW can ask just about anything she wants once Brendan is done.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking seeing Christine’s parents. They are so composed, but you can see the grief and anger in their eyes.

You are crazy. I never said it was her fault. I said it was her mistake.

Maybe normal for Northern Virginia, but nowhere else in the world. He is creepy.

Joe Ryan was close to his mother. Not estranged.

Notice how he’s always looking at his attorney when talking. Waiting for a signal whether what he’s saying is ok lol

I thought he sounded normal when I listened only. When I went back and watched, he comes off awkward and creepy.

Did anyone else find it weird that he said his friends in NY were throwing him a birthday party and he was going to drive to NY the night of the killings with his daughter? 1- thats not a short drive 2- this wasn't a milestone birthday and 3- why wouldn't they have held a party for him when his wife (who they've all known since they were 18) could also go?

Do Christine’s parents think he’s guilty? I feel like that would be very telling, given they’ve known him for 19 years.

Yes, which is why they aren't allowed to see the child.

In his own testimony he states how close both grandmothers are to the child and how often they would come down to visit. I hope the CW asks how much the Bensons have seen the child since the murders and WHY.
