I have to agree, even though I think he's a murderer.

They always say stupid stuff like that to get people riled up so they get more comments on their SM. More engagement = more $$$.

Same. I think he's guilty but he's coming off as much less arrogant than I thought he would. Can't wait to see how they cross examine him!

And this is when she made a huge mistake, never ever give the cheater second chance.

I listened to most of his testimony and he does not come across as likable at all. He came across as very arrogant and privileged. They lived a nice upper middle class life style, with two stable well paying jobs, and a side gig. Nice house in a nice neighborhood. One child, and a lot of support from extended family, in addition to aur pair. He had too much free time on his hands and chose to use it for improper purposes, like affairs and murdering your own spouse.

He should have said Juliana set this up t all along. That could have been believe-able. She pursued him. She wanted more when he said it was casual. She groomed the daughter. She asked for gun lessons. She took C's phone. etc etc

I swear this guy is going to announce that he has Alzheimer’s and didn’t know it and didn’t provide reasonable representation.

Stop victim blaming. If you knew them in real life and she had divorced him you would be gossiping about how she couldn’t keep her man and she broke the family up and blah blah blah. It’s always going to be the woman’s fault for you.

I don’t think he’s coming across as likable about. I think they’re trying to show him as the mild mannered goof who could never pull things off, but it’s not playing. The arrogance is in the lie. The jury has to know he’s lying.

Agree that we will definitely hear about the phone in the drawer when it’s always supposed to be with her! And now the CW can ask just about anything she wants once Brendan is done.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking seeing Christine’s parents. They are so composed, but you can see the grief and anger in their eyes.

Wasn’t the dog locked in the basement with the kid?

Yes, the dog was in the basement, but Juliana and Brendan also were in the basement too. In Juliana’s testimony she was down there a bit longer than him, but it seemed like not by much. When she came up he was outside the master bedroom, I think she said on the landing, listening, and he motioned for her to listen. They listened for a bit and then they entered the master bedroom. Brendan shot Joe, Christine told Juliana to call 911 and she did, Juliana hung up because Brendan gestured at her, and after that he would have cut/stabbed Christine and staged the scene. Then Juliana called 911 again.

Presumably the “dog audio theory” would seek to place at least Juliana in the basement for longer, after that 911 call. Basically, an attempt to create doubt about Juliana’s testimony, which is corroborated by the audio on the 911 hang up call (widely believed to be Joe Ryan moaning after the shot which is known to have disabled him, but not killed him).

I just posted about this when I read it. Joe's mom who would know her son's voice has spoken up about this. She spoke about it openly as she heard it on a local news program and was very disturbed listening to her son dying... it was NO dog lol that is a horrible thing for the defense to make up.

Joe was not raised by his mother. She gave him up to his paternal grandmother when he was 10 days old. He was raised by his grandmother and his abusive father, from whom he was later estranged. He was estranged from his mother and all family members, except his grandmother. No family members wanted anything to do with him.

His mother says they spoke every day. Guess she knows better than you? Is Tess posting again?

Yes, he believes she pursued him. A poor, powerless, helpless man. Blame the dead wife and young AP.

Look at the smirk when he talks about it!
