Its more about making money and future economic development. The other gulf states want to able to freely sell their oil and build diversified modern economies that integrate with the West. Trump is saying we are winning the war while also asking allies for help. He says the war may be over in a couple weeks, it’s already over, but he may need to send in ground troops. He says Irans air defense and military capabilities were completely obliterated yet he didn’t know how to handle the closure of Hormuz and we also kept losing F-35’s and other equipment
