The greatest suffering comes AFTER the leadership is destroyed, because the attacking countries don't care about the power vacuum and chaos that ensues. They let it play out and say "oh, we told them the people to stage an uprising, but we're not responsible for domestic affairs of other countries after we decapitate the top brass".

Don't believe for one single minute that any of these attacks - Iraq, Iran, etc - were ever done to "free the people".

Poor Iranians. I dearly hope they can find a way to stable governance without hundreds of thousands of deaths, unlike Iraq.

ALSO - the price of oil is going to increase, which will be great for Putin, who has been on the back foot in Ukraine in 2025. He will have more money to plow into swiping Bonbas and claiming victory, and then he'll spend a few years recovering and invade the rest.
