Anything on the Arlington ECNL ID sessions yesterday?

How often does Arlington add external players to their established ECNL teams? Seems rare, no?

Their teams are established. And if your DD is not 10 ft tall, don’t even bother. Soccer technique is the last thing on their mind.

Obviously don't know how good your kid is and how realistic of a parent you are but there are going to be a lot of parents who look at their kid through rose colored lenses agreeing with you. I know a lady who's kid is decent and has potential but not a lick of quick or fast in her body. When you tell her to press it looks like a jog but because she scores some goals against bottom of the table teams she thinks she should be playing up and on the top team.

Really? That is surprising. Where did you see this? Their current top teams are RL.

I read MLSN AD, which makes sense since they’re ECRL.

So Aspire, if anything.

Why the thumbs down on Arlington ECNL ID session? Not well run? No players?

Poorly run and in the cold rain. The kids didn’t want to be there but the club forced it because they were super late to start IDs and have been losing kids to first-movers.

When are they planning to announce it? Tryouts are next week for top (RL) teams. Seems late for a shift.

So Arlington had poorly run sessions and has not communicated well either? Why does Union always get trashed for things other clubs do too?

Does anyone else feel like between the constant inclement weather, cancelled tryouts, adjusted dates (ECNL), etc., this tryout season is super weird? Younger ages already had tryouts (we see you Arlington) and others start after tourney season but before spring really gets going.

Seems like people are pointing out when each club has not done something well.

Except for VDA! We are AMAZING! We even cancelled a session (two) for snow but we are not allowed to talk about it because we are too scared!!!!

Yes. Not to mention the unpredictable shifts in teams due to age changes. A mess.

Yeah that too. I think a lot of people are getting surprised by how many kids are repeating and those repeats have a massive advantage on many accounts.
