Again and again, There would have been inflation in the USA after Covid period! Supply chain issues and the pandemic were to blame. But, Biden made it worse than it had to be by passing bills that pumped hundreds of billion DOLLARS into the economy that were printed out of thin air. That devalues the existing dollars in the economy and thus worsened inflation!!! Simple economics. |
I remember Trump insisting on signing the checks. |
Not that simple. Trump had the Cares act in 2020 that dealt with the Covid shut downs and then in 2021 Biden has the American rescue plan which was a continuation of that. Both were needed to keep economy going. After that the massive. Infrastructure bill that was signed by Biden for 1.2 Trillion ( 500 billion as to go into investments for the future) and the 800 billion IRA by Biden that was essentially a green energy bill did. It did not to be SPENT!!!!! That is 2 Trillion, TRILLION printed out of thin air. So yeah, the spending on these 2 bills ramped up inflation so much higher than it should have been, period. |
Okay, okay. If it makes you feel better and stop creaming your pants, Walz acted in the capacity of an E9. Less than 1% of the American public has ever achieved the position of E8, more less represented the USA in the capacity of an E9, even if it was short-lived. The man was an E9 at some point, but never fully retained the rank. Copy. Now let's talk about shiit that really impacts the American people. Jeeze, we need a lot of week killer for this thread. |
To be fair, he didn’t *order* them to kill Pence exactly — he just made absolutely sure that the enormous violent mob he’d assembled, the mob with the weapons and rope and gallows who were chanting “hang Mike Pence” while breaking into the building where Pence and his family were hiding, the mob he’d whipped into a furor with inflammatory and increasingly violent rhetoric about “revolution”, was 100% certain that Pence was to blame for what he said was the ruin of our nation. And then he sat and watched it all unfold on television, and waited, and waited, and waited, all while doing nothing to protect Pence or anyone else. |
| Again, my brother-in-law was A superintendent of a school and retired and was a substitute in that school for several years.... When people asked what his career was, should he say oh a substitute teacher?? And discount all of the hard work he put in for years and years in that school and rising to the highest rank? I don't understand why the last position you had determines who you are for the rest of your life. If you earned something you get to use that title.... |
Oh come on. The first billion were those famous "Trump Checks" that your boy insisted his signature appear on the checks before issuing. Those fraudulent PPP loans that dumped billions of dollars in the system came from Trump. Biden closed it in early 2021. Simple economics you say. |
Yes, I guess the country could have waited another two decades for that passage. After all Congress had been trying to pass an infrastructure bill since the 90's. Who needs clean water, safe roads, safe bridges, reliable energy, climate reducing methods, and high band internet for rural areas. Nah, just wait another two to three decades. NBD |
Wrong timing. You don’t need to spend 1.2 trillion in the middle of a pandemic and when inflation is through the roof. Hey, I want to buy a retirement house right now, but I got a kid in college now. When he graduates in 2 years, the. I’ll buy that house when the time so right. So yeah, infrastructure is needed, but not in the middle of a pandemic recovery and raging inflation. |

Yeah, what’s a few more people without electricity after big storms and who cares how many 35W bridge collapses we have to experience. Always later! That’s why I vote Donald Trump, because I like kicking the can down the road into never and I’m easily reassured by a pat on the head and being told “in two weeks.” Then I know we can think about a problem never. What’s it to me if entire cities don’t have drinkable water? You can buy it, duh-doy. Frankly, if an airport landing strip isn’t bumpy enough to knock off the landing gear, are we even flying, really? Make my country unlivable and miserable for as many as possible and vote for the GOP! |
Part of the reason you always think we have crummy choices is that there is a huge industry devoted to tearing down politicians. |
He never actually *orders* anyone to do those kinds of things. He just wonders loudly about who will rid him of this turbulent priest. |
So basically never, because there will always be something else where the USA is concerned. Like I said, congress has been trying to get an infrastructure bill passed since the 90's to no avail. Bush, Obama and Trump tried, but Biden got it done. I am not sure if Clinton tried or not. And during all this time, bridges were collapsing; lead pipes were bringing contaminated water into our homes and businesses; roads were like swiss cheese; large swaths of America did not have access to internet access; the electric grid was hit or miss; and don't even talk about the climate issues. But hey, I guess the country could wait another 20 years, and for those who did not live in or near big cities, they were just SOL. I get it. Maybe Trump shouldn't have given huge tax breaks to the wealthiest amongst us and there would have been a little bit more money in the coffers. |
Oh, and you are never buying that retirement house. Never! There will never be the right time for you. Why? Because there will always be another reason. Maybe the kid wants to attend grad or professional school. Not the right time for that retirement home. The market dipped too far down or retirement portfolio not high enough. Not the right time for that retirement home. Interest rates are too high. Not the right time for that retirement home. Timing does not always get better just because you push the problems until another day. |
