Fake ones aren't.

I don’t’ understand. Please show me that the electors were not alternate and instead, were created after the fact as fakes.

They are fake because Trump lost the vote in their states and therefore they were not in fact elected. They just appointed themselves. Kind of like if i announced myself to be governor. I would not be an “alternate” governor.

Can you point to an article that says that?

You think that if i announced myself governor and swore myself in then I’d be the alternate governor?

Besides Pennsylvania (via the caveat they included), the "alternate electors" in these states didn't represent themselves as "alternate", they represented themselves as the real thing. Aside, the premise behind your question doesn't even make sense. So at the end of an election, all states are free to submit real electors and alternate electors...and the Vice President then decides which to count? I can't even find any support online that says that alternate electors are a real thing.

No. They were legally nominated to be electors for Trump if he won Georgia’s general election vote, but Trump lost Georgia so they were not electors. The Biden electors were certified by the state as the Georgia electors. The Trump nominees committed fraud when they signed fraudulent certifications that they met as the official electors for Georgia and cast Georgia’s electoral votes for Trump. Those documents were presented to Pence as alternate electors so that theoretically Pence and Republican fascists in the House and Senate could reject the real electoral votes certified by the state and instead accept this fraudulent certification created by Trump’s criminal enterprise. Everyone involved in this effort committed multiple fraudulent acts to carry out the criminal enterprise against the state of Georgia and the USA.

Not just Georgia.

Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona.

And it was obviously coordinated.

And it was also coordinated with the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, whose job it was to get the proceedings in the Capitol stalled.

And it was coordinated with certain members of the House and Senate, whose job it was to vote to send it back to the states.

They told us in the fall of 2020 exactly what they were going to do, and then they tried to do it. It was an attempted coup and attempt to defraud the 81 million people who voted for Joe Biden.

There is no penalty harsh enough for each and every one of the people involved.

Hey, leave Kari Lake out of this. 😆

When would you like the rapist Trump to go to trial? He's always campaigning - he hasn't stopped since 2015. The world can't stop for the rapist Trump just because he is always trying to loophole his way out of accountability.

The "alternate electors" signed phony elector "certificate of ascertainment" documents with forged seals from their respective states and then submitted those documents to the National Archivist.

Here's a summary of the process:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_ascertainment

Here's the phony elector certificates they submitted:

https://www.archives.gov/foia/2020-presidential-election-unofficial-certificates

Sending forged state documents to the federal government for certification of the Presidential election is a crime, both at the state and federal levels.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Trump's team ran a TV in GA criticizing Fani Willis.

https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/trump-running-ad-atlanta-criticizing-da-investigating-rcna99003

The ad was quickly fact checked and its claims (including that Willis had an affair with a gang member) debunked:

Here are the fake electors in Michigan trying to enter the state Capitol, and the state police telling them they are not the state’s duly appointed electors. They aren’t because their candidate lost the state by 150,000 votes.

So now Monday’s press conference about Trump’s amazing report is probably off. Apparently his lawyers think lying more right now isn’t the best legal play. I’m sure Trump will spin that in some conspiracy against him.

I can't get enough of that video!

This is actually very well put.

It’s not like they were exactly subtle in what they were planning. It’s not like the GOP has ever respected democracy or the process. It’s not like they haven’t advertised they’d prefer something on the fascist/authoritarian line.
