That would be up to a 20 year sentence per offense.

No way he was aggravated. He was a nice guy and didn’t mean to do anything, I just hope he gets the minimum. 3 families life are now destroyed.

And just who do you think ruined that 3rd families lives? The family ruined their own life - the parents and their killer son. They willingly chose to ruin their own lives.

Of course they will. And I hope that the victims get justice. His ass can sit in jail for a longtime.

How can he go to school while in jail? He might be able to do a program with NVCC.

Was there ever an explanation as to why this took so long?

What took so long?

Jury trial are always (over 70%) of the time between 1-2 years after the incident..

I’m someone who was there throughout the all the court sessions and saw all the evidence which shows how the other driver is at fault and knows it. He denied speaking to anyone unless he gets immunity and when he’s speaking he plead the 5th 3 TIMES. He admitted to not checking if there was a car coming while crossing the intersection, he also went hiding after the crash fyi. Also, apparently the investigation said that he was not doing 81 at all until the second before impact where he floored the gas to try and avoid the crash. I’m not on no one’s side and really sad about both sides’ loss but I’m just saying what I heard in the courtroom that I know the news won’t talk about

Stop lying and deflecting blame and spouting stupid conspiracy theories. Your son or friend or whatever was horribly reckless. It was no one else’s fault. He was driving without a license at 81mph. He wasted our resources by going to trial on this obvious crime. Thank god our system worked.

He would have still been going 60 before flooring it and who the hell floors it to avoid a crash? Had he been driving the speed limit he would have slammed in his break.

Glad he was found guilty.

I’m curious how sentencing will go. Is Shahid going to accept any responsibility for the girls’ deaths? He hasn’t done so yet, since his legal strategy was to blame the other driver. So will he take a different approach for sentencing? And will the jury and judge find it credible? I have no idea how this works. It’s so unusual to see a slam-dunk vehicular manslaughter case like this actually go to trial.

He’s now a felon, right? Wouldn’t that make him ineligible to be a student there?

Just like I said I was there and I heard both sides’ evidence, if you know someone who was there ask them about what I said and you’ll see that I’m not lying about a single detail. If you really want to hear all the evidence the defense came up with with factual evidence I’ll be more than happy to tell you all of that but changing one person’s mind won’t change much cause the news just writes what will get them more views and reaction and all we can wait for is the sentencing tomorrow. I believe that mistakes happen and sounds like shahid just got extremely unlucky that it didn’t just end up as a 2 car crash with no casualties.
