""I recall the moments she was laughing loudly with her friends on the phone and then I ... scolded her to be quiet. We never knew it was her last moment," her mother said in a victim impact statement.

Her mother struggled to describe the pain of losing her daughter."

Brutal.

They don't do the verdict and sentencing at the same time. More arguments to the jury tomorrow before sentencing tomorrow along with victim impact statements.

This should be very emotional. What’s the maximum sentence?

In VA, maximum of ten years in state prison PER offense (he has 2), plus up to a $2500 fine.

I’m so glad she had the strength to speak at the trial. This was a heartbreaking but important message for the jury to hear.

It's too bad he wasn't charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter: "In addition, the crime of involuntary manslaughter can be charged as aggravated manslaughter if the accused’s conduct was “so gross, wanton, and culpable to show a reckless disregard for human life.”

That would be up to a 20 year sentence per offense.

Way too risky. Many juries don’t understand they can charge for a lower offense. Not worth taking a chance on a not guilty verdict on all counts.

Mean he can be found guilty but sentencing is where leniency is given he will prob do 3 years Seen a police offer hit kill 2 young girls and for 6 months found guilty of 2 counts of involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving about 4 months ago

No way he was aggravated. He was a nice guy and didn’t mean to do anything, I just hope he gets the minimum. 3 families life are now destroyed.

You can stop carrying water for Usman now. Trials over.

He could get out in several years and move to another country with a diploma and hardly anything will have changed other than him not finishing in person at college. The girls lives and families are ruined forever. Let's hope he never drives again at least. I hope that is part of the sentence

Yes! So glad he was found guilty. Hope he gets a long sentence and the assets of the whole family are claimed during the civil trial. He and his family and supporter disgusting for accepting no responsibility for their reckless actions.
