I don’t buy any of that either. Not a single bit of it. I think what we’ve gotten from police — their words today — make zero sense. If Pelosi did run to the door, why he didn’t keep running out into the arms of the police? If they were both by the door when it opened, police somehow messed up because someone they were standing feet from got their head bashed in. |

Ok so maybe police screwed up. Is that perhaps the more likely explanation than a deep state fake? Or is the deep state fake (what I gather is the alternative explanation from the rambling disputes in this thread) the most likely story? |

What I’ve heard and read was that they were at the door with both of them having hands on the hammer. Police said to drop it, and that’s when DePape jerked it away and hit Pelosi.
Nothing sounds suspicious about that account. No one knew he was going to start beating an old man with a hammer at that instant. People can move fast in attack mode, and response times are slower. Is anyone besides DePape saying Pelosi tan to the door to let the police in then jogged back for the hammer? Well, DePape and other MAGAs? |

This is so freaking scary.
The husband of the Speaker of the House is assaulted in his home. Loons like the ones on this thread are coming up with all kinds of reasons that the perpetrator says happened, the investigators say happened, and the family says happened are somehow fake. Like with 1/6, instead of asking themselves what they are doing to step up and lead by tamping down on the violent rhetoric, Republican leaders are trying to have their cake and eat it too. Some words about “thots and prayers” but a wink and a nod to the conspiracy theorists. Crazy people like the person who attacked Pelosi and conspiracy theorists on this thread are a problem. But they have been made into a much bigger problem because of the fecklessness of the Republican leadership. |

Why do you expect an 82 year old man to behave in the middle of the night after he’a been awoken by an intruder who broke through a door and is threatening bodily harm to act with the clarity that you seem to believe is the proper and only response to a chaotic situation? |

If at 2:23 am a resident calls 911 about an unknown male in a residence why call it a wellness check? Police got there at 2:31 and the front door was opened to 2 police officers. Officers see both holding one hammer and don't immediately enter and get the potential weapon... Homeowner called for an emergency intruder and the protocol is first a chat? What did police think it was at that time? A carpenter? |

I think the Wellness Check was because Paul Pelosi was talking in code, saying there was a man there to see his wife. His call was to 911 but he didn't use the term "Emergency!"
So the police responded because it was weird but they didn't immediately realize it was a home invasion. Just curious-- what is your response to my response? |

Just to be clear about this for you. Pelosi was woken up while in his bed. The intruder asked where Nancy was. Pelosi said she was not home and wouldn't be home for several days. The intruder said he would wait. Pelosi went to the bathroom where his phone was charging. He dialed 911, but I don't believe spoke directly to the operator. Instead, the operator could hear the discussion between the two men and pieced together that something untoward was going on. The operator then alerted police who conducted a high priority wellness check. The sources for this are the SFPD press conference which you can watch on Youtube and the DOJ press release and statement which are linked earlier in this thread. During the press conference, the police chief praised Heather Grives, the 911 operator for using her intuition in guessing that this was an emergency. |

This makes perfect, logical sense, but I'm sure we'll still continue get more responses alluding to some sort of vague plot and coverup for vague reasons and unknown reasons as the more logical answer.
