Do what Emmett Till's mom did. |
Yes, these grieving devastated parents owe us their pain and trauma on parade for all of eternity, so we can be convinced to care. Brilliant. |
The Sandy Hook conspiracy theory Alex Jones crazies tortured the parents of the victims by picking through the pictures of the massacred kindergarteners and insisting that they were faked because of things they found “odd/unlikely.” |
We are hoping to do this within a couple years too. I’ve lost hope that anything will ever change here. |
Republicans are full of sh1t. |
This is utter and complete BS. This is more GOP propaganda. Those GOP politicians don't care about your kids, your family, your job, crime, God, or anything but their own power. And their F-ing guns. But you lap their BS stories up like the rube you are. |
Sorry but when it comes to keeping some unhinged man baby whose wittle feelings of masculinity are hurt from harming my children, I would rather take away his access to semi-automatic weaponry, mass ammo, and body armor than have my kids fend for themselves with your belated “thoughts and prayers” over their graveside. If that is not classy, whatever. I don’t care about your standards of “class.” |
And for teachers to have guns. It sounds like the shooter actually encountered law enforcement before entering the building? I’ll be interested to see why they couldn’t stop him- when even LEOs are unable to stop a shooter with an assault rifle I’m not sure how arming untrained teachers would solve anything. |
| Why are we blaming everything else, it's the shooter and family that needs to be held accountable they failed |
Mine have gone already. |
So that’s how you sleep at night. |
The gun industry apologists want to arm teachers. They want to arm retired military and law enforcement to provide school security. More guns … what could go wrong? |
| How religion falls into this debate is beyond me. Most European countries are far less church-going than ours, but they don't experience this insanity every few days. |
And if the shooter is dead? And if the shooter is an adult is his family still “accountable”? What does that even mean? Are you suggesting that gun owners be licensed, that guns be registered, that gun owners be subject to a mental health evaluation, and that they be required to purchase liability insurance? |
Well the shooter died. So I guess that is the ultimate “accountability.” But you can’t tuck accountability into bed at night. You can’t watch it grow and graduate high school. You can’t tell “accountability” how much you love it and kiss its little head each day. What good is accountability at this point? PREVENTION is infinitely more valuable than accountability. |
