Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable

How much longer before Putin accepts that Russia has lost the war and ends this pointless stalemate and its needless bloodshed?

1) Russia invaded Ukraine, completely unprovoked, and Ukraine never posed a threat to Russia.

2) For America, this is a DC board trolls, this war is already a big victory for the US. No lives lost and a decimated stockpile of Soviet equipment for Russia. They will never be able to restock all that equipment which was built over decades by a much larger and powerful country, the Soviet Union. The US needs to continue supplying Ukraine to continue the slow bleed out of Russian legacy equipment and ammunition.

The lesson that will be learned is that Western democracies have incredibly short memories, and incredibly little ability to commit to a coherent policy to oppose a non-democratic invader. Russia has won a victory and now knows that it can win wars of attrition against the west.

Oh please. This war would have been over in a month if Russia had chosen to engage with NATO forces.

The West does not fight wars of attrition. No American or Norwegian or Canadian is fighting in a trench. There's a little thing called air dominance - F-22, F-35, B-1 and many other systems for which Russia has no answer. Followed by Apaches and gunships. Then artillery systems that make the HIMARS look like Napoleon-era cannons. Then mine clearing. Followed by Styker Brigades to wreck whatever remains. And only then will a NATO infantry boot touch the ground.

Russia lost more than 320,000 soldiers and most of its armor to a Ukrainian civilian army made up on the go and equipped with forty year old NATO equipment that has been gathering cobwebs in warehouses for decades. Not to mention losing a good deal of their air force - another 8 fighter bombers shot down in the past 2 weeks. As well as losing a significant portion of the Black Sea fleet - including its flagship - to a country that doesn't have a navy.

This was a pathetic display for Russia. The world sleeps safer seeing how incompetent and inferior the Russian military truly is. A 3 day special military operation that turned into a catastrophe for Russia. But it's been a great gift to NATO, which due to the addition of Sweden and Finland, became significantly bigger recently. Russia now has a very long border directly with NATO. Great move invading Ukraine. Real big brain thinking.

In diplomatic circles there are rumors. Rumors about secret negotiations (which are most certainly occurring, although negotiations are meaningless if they fail to produce any agreement).

The rumor is: March. It’s rumored there could be a “ceasefire” in March if Ukraine:

- agrees to let Russia keep Crimea and promises not to join NATO, and
- Ukraine receives security promises from certain other neighboring states.

However, Russian accession to such an agreement would be meaningless. Russia “promised” right up to the start of the SWO, and assault on Kyiv / rape of Bucha that “Russia has no intention of invading Ukraine.” (Lol).

Russia cannot be trusted. The Putin regime must be forced into collapse, or there will never be peace in Europe.

Thank the good Lord that Biden was in charge and not Trump when Putin invaded his neighbor Ukraine. Trumo would have handed Ukraine over on a platter, blown hot pungent air ant Western European alilies and taken the US out of NATO.

Also Trump turned a budget surplus into major deficits with his tax cuts for the top 1%. He bankrupted his own companies many times over so that only the Russians would loan to him. It was/ is offensive how deferential he acts towards the world’s leading war criminal.

Putin’s regime has proved this over and over again. You can’t negotiate with lying murderous thieves who gas light their victims.

China just told Biden last month they are taking Taiwan peacefully or not peacefully. They don’t talk to Trump that way.

You say this but Ukraine declined to follow the Minsk accords too so it's not like this is a region known for rule following.

And imagine that they could have had that last March in Istanbul, and saved countless lives and civilian damage.

These were Russia’s demands from the start

agrees to let Russia keep Crimea and promises not to join NATO, and
- Ukraine receives security promises from certain other neighboring states.

With that said even if Russia gets all of this, they now have Finland in NATO an hour by car from St. petersburg

What is the reason to wait until March? People are dying needlessly every day in this WW1 style trench warfare. This is a total stalemate and people are dying for no reason! Putin needs to wake up and small the coffee!

China doesn't have to talk to Trump that way - they know he'd just stand back and let them take Taiwan.
