So trump has been caught in a lie, so he real quick has to make it look good by requesting talks asap:

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson has denied holding any talks with the US during the past 24 days, sharply undermining Donald Trump who claimed that the US and Iran have held “very good and productive conversations” on an end to the war.

The United States has requested a meeting with Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf this coming Saturday, a senior Iranian official told Reuters, without mentioning any proposed venue.

The official, who asked not to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter, said the Supreme National Security Council had yet to decide on any proposed talks and Iran had yet to respond.

Trump lies all the time, but I'm not going to believe the Iranian regime either. I suspect they reached out tentatively to each other, with back channels, but when the Moron in the White House publicized it prematurely, the regime denied it because it wants to appear strong and doesn't want the public to know they want to negotiate.

The Moron might have been pushed by certain people in his orbit to make an announcement, so that those people could make a profit off the stock rise...

According to the DOD, Colonel Caleb Hyat is in command of the 11th MEU and commanding the 31st MEU is Colonel Chris P. Niedziocha.

The 11th and 31st MEU are supposedly going to be the force that will be coming back in wooden boxes trying to take and then hold Kharg Island.

These two men must do the right thing and save the soldiers under their commands from dying for Israel. They need to either resign their commissions or tell the men under their command to stand down. They will be responsible for the deaths of 1000s of Americans fighting an illegal war from which many men above them will be tried for war crimes.

It is staggering to imagine that anyone thinks sending the Marines is going to advance any strategy. Even under a clearly articulated goal (which Trump has not deigned to provide), a cursory glance at Kharg Island’s location on a map and a brief review of the topography would signal that this is sacrificial.
