What was the point of bringing that virtual expert on for 15 minutes, then pausing him again? This is a cluster.

What was the virtual expert testifying about? The same topic?

His testimony was so fast that I missed it. The NBC site said something about talking about audio with the dog barking, but no other details. Anything of interest anyone can share?

NBC says: Barreiro spoke briefly about his experience and background. He is now speaking about the evidence that he reviewed in the Banfield case, which included the 911 call and audio of a dog barking. (Then he was paused and defense said he'll be recalled, so it's anyone's guess.)

Also interesting that NBC says the defense needs to go out with a bang before the likely extended break and suggests three scenarios:
1. Brendan Banfield takes the stand. That’s the headline moment — and it changes the temperature in the courtroom instantly. If he’s calm and believable, it can introduce a new storyline: “Maybe this wasn’t a mastermind… maybe this was chaos.” But if he stumbles? The prosecution gets to puncture him in real time, and that can be devastating.
2. The defense calls Banfield’s mother, Tess, or another family witness. That can humanize him — but it can also backfire if it feels like spin instead of substance. A jury can smell a “character witness” play from a mile away.
3. The defense rests — and the prosecution gets rebuttal. That’s the cleanest setup for the commonwealth, because rebuttal is where prosecutors simplify everything and say: “Here’s what matters. Here’s what doesn’t.” If they land that before a break, it can be powerful.

Resting doesn't seem probable. Is there an end time set for the day?

The defense is saying it must have been Christine because her laptop opened the INOVA hospital website and then a few seconds later opened the Gmail account used for the fet life? What? How does that prove anything??? I can go right now and open the INOVA main page on my own laptop. I don’t work there.

Also, for a period of time, my workplaces website was actually my home page on my laptop because i accessed my work stuff through it frequently. So all of my browser history for any day would start with my work webpage being first, even if my kid was the one on the computer

To the poster who asked what would be the point why BB would come into the room and yell police? Police officers and agents are generally trained to identify themselves as police when pulling out there weapon if it’s safe to do so. ( example bad guy has his gun out first pointed at a person without a weapon , Officer sees danger, officer may justify pulling out weapon and shooting bad guy without identifying police so bad guy doesn’t shoot police. So BB training kicked in, and if Joe was a good guy and not in the acting of stabbing Christine he would have been startled and may likely understand the words police and just put his hands up. Something prosecutor hopefully brings up if BB testified how he walked in the room and why he said police?

Unless someone can definitively prove that the defense attorney is not the “I’m not a cat” guy from the pandemic, that’s what I’m going with.

Has the prosecution started cross with the "expert" yet? I see they are done for the day.

The judge telling Brendan’s lawyer to get it together, that it was going off the rails and he was not only wasting the Jurys time, but her time was epic.

Yes, it was at the end of the day after the jury were dismissed.

Judge Penney ripped the defense a new one, called him out for not knowing his own exhibit numbers, messy files, etc. Said that Shannon (guessing she's the court clerk) has to stay late to fix their messed up documents and that they are wasting everyone's time. It's about time he was called on his fumbling. I swear he hasn't known a SINGLE ONE of his own exhibit numbers, never seen anything like it. Incredibly unprofessional.
