The IDF seems to be preparing to roll back in to Gaza to do the job properly this time. The only way out for the Palestinians is for Hamas to release the hostages and surrender. Their intransigence is the barrier to ending the current conflict If Hamas refuses to surrender, and doesn't release the hostages, it'll be the end of Gaza as a separate geographic and political entity. All the pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel, bloviating in the world is not going to change that future.

Hamas can prevent further Palestinian deaths and suffering, but most think they prefer that to acknowledging their impotence in the face of Israel.

Palestinians can’t even get chocolate into the Gaza Strip. Hamas is now an institution with billions at their disposal from Qatar, a foreign nation. How can they get this cash without the interception from Israel? There’s no airport in the Palestinian Territories. Do you get where I’m going with this? 30 years ago, Hamas was led by a paralyzed blind sheik out of his home. They had no money. Now they have money for SUV’s, RPG’s, tunnels, building schools, hospitals, paying Gazans a government salary.

The best they could get is moral support and labor from Palestinians, but they couldn’t survive without Qatar, Turkey, Iran, other ME countries, Israel. They dont get anything from Palestinians.

The IDF seems to be preparing to roll back in to Gaza to do the job properly this time. The only way out for the Palestinians is for Hamas to release the hostages and surrender. Their intransigence is the barrier to ending the current conflict If Hamas refuses to surrender, and doesn't release the hostages, it'll be the end of Gaza as a separate geographic and political entity. All the pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel, bloviating in the world is not going to change that future.

Hamas can prevent further Palestinian deaths and suffering, but most think they prefer that to acknowledging their impotence in the face of Israel.

If it were up to Gazans, Hamas would be gone tomorrow.

You conveniently forget that Hamas is a Palestinian creation, made of up people raised and indoctrinated within Gaza, by - surprise! Palestinians. Who voted initially for Hamas, whose charter explicitly calls for the destruction of Israel? Here's a clue, it wasn't Israeli voters. Who sustains Hamas now, standing by passively when they use civilian infrastructure to hide themselves, and diverting foreign aid to military purposes? Failing to acknowledge that Hamas would be powerless without Iranian support is more than naive and disingenuous. If you argue that Israel is secretly providing Hamas with arms, be prepared for the scorn you deserve for making assertions which are the product of either hallucinations or mental illness.

This is not a hallucination. I’ve learned this from Israeli newspapers. It’s kind of like Israel is the parent here as they run the Palestinian Territories (everything that comes in, everything that comes out) .

Palestinians again do not have an airport. They use El Al Airport in Tel Aviv. They do not have a currency. They do not have any way to get Iranian or Qatari money without Israel knowing about it.

Qatar has openly admitted they send their guys with Hamas cash to El Al Airport where Israeli security drives them to the Gaza Strip.

One can say perhaps for security reasons, Israel didn’t want Gazans to be cash strapped or unstable with a failed government so they funded Hamas as best they could but then you have to wonder why the same cash wasn’t allowed to enter the West Bank. Why didn’t Israel make settlements again in Gaza like they are right now in the West Bank?

The West Bank is the demilitarized Palestinian government and that’s the one Israel doesn’t respect the sovereignty of, but they respected the sovereignty of the Gaza Strip because they had a military. This is awful and just proved to Palestinians a peaceful state won’t be a state next to Israel. Israel failed to legitimize the best /most pro Israel demilitarized neutered Palestinian government they could ever dream of with the West Bank, instead choosing to make anti Semite Jewish murderers billionaires.
