No matter the gravity of the story (the Kate flower girl whatever, to the racist questioning of Archie's skin color, bc whoever questioned that would have done so regardless of king or being a nobody), why the hell would you let your wife air such personal matters on global television??? I'm just dumbfounded by all this.

They didn't win. the BRF didn't win. Oprah did.

Nah...they won. They were not allowed to defend themselves on that side of the pond and they were eaten alive. They won. Meghan took the high road and didn't attack her bat shit crazy trashy sister because someone would say she is going after her poor disabled with MS sister. She had every right to call out racism and not giving a shit someone is suicidal. They protected the queen, Willy and Kate even though I'm sure they were not innocent. For the record I don't think Meghan is a saint. She needed shades of narcissism to survive her childhood with a sister who is green with jealousy and hatred, a bitter divorce between the parents and who knows what else. She did not deserve all that bad press. The number of times Kate was complimented for the same thing Meghan was demonized for was ridiculous. I'm sure Kate the Great is breathing a massive sigh of relief Meghan went easy on her. I suspect it wasn't deserved, but they both were catty to eachother.

Had she truly taken the high road, she wouldn't tell the entire world about a private conversation that occurred between her husband and her family- not even her. She HAD to ensure that was shared bc she has to be the center of attention.

And as someone mentioned earlier, had she TRULY had active, suicidal ideation with intentions to harm herself, and champion mental health as she said she does, this would have been the perfect opportunity to share how she sought help after she had left the Institution, so that others may empower to do so. Packing your bags and moving to a private island Canada and L.A. doesn't treat suicide ideation.

She should say it. The comment was racist. I am a white person who is so sick and tired of people shielding white people from the consequences of making racist comments. I am Christian and my partner is Jewish. Am I supposed to be okay if someone in my family says something to the effect of what if your child is born looking really Jewish. Am I supposed to protect them for being antisemetic? Whoever said it was being racist. There are plenty of books, movies, videos, etc. they can use to understand why their comment was racist. They should be apologizing and doing better. I don't feel bad.

I will add, the BRF feels trapped to stay on the good side of the press because they are afraid of losing public favor and their position as royals. It's that simple. They want to be king more than a brother, father, uncle, or grandfather.

Agreed PP! When I was pregnant with my first, my SIL laughed and said “what if your baby comes up looking really Asian?!” (I am Asian and DH is white). What’s wrong with looking Asian? Other than to racists, there is nothing wrong with it.

Yes. A tragic accident that was a culmination of a series of bad choices.

+1 If she had word her seatbelt, she'd be alive.

And if her security hadn’t been stripped she’d still be alive

They were divorced and she was no longer officially royal. If her brother had let her hide out at the family home that summer, she'd be alive. If she and Dodi had stayed at the hotel that night, they'd be alive. If his driver wasn'r blind drunk, she'd be alive.

Do people realize who dodi is? Birds of a feather flock together. Diana was not who you gullible saps think she was.

Seriously. She did some lovely things and truly believed in her causes. But her personal life was a disaster in SO many ways. Even rich people do trashy things.

Apply this same logic to Prince Andrew. He was buddies with Epstein, and looks really guilty of raping a teenage sex slave. He's fine though? Diana is bad because she possibly enjoyed cocaine? Alright.

If Jeff Bezos, or someone like him, breathed in Megsie's direction, she'd be done with the bald ginger faster than you could say "Sussex."

Both of them are talentless, neither have the charisma or captivation of even a run of the mill social media influencer. The only reason people pay attention to them is for royal drama. Without royal drama, they have nothing to talk about. So she has to keep going back to the 2018 well for material. It's so sad and transparent. She will be retelling and embellishing 2018 stories for the rest of her life.

No, Andrew is not fine. I said nothing about him. False equivalency.

I agree. I missed if they said why they did that.

The big wedding was for the people...it is what was expected for Harry’s wedding. The intimate wedding was for them...this is what they would do if they didn’t have obligations because of who Harry is.

Brilliant. King’s landing is definitely on fire after tonight.

I think it was William. Harry made clear it was in a conversation about what hypothetical children would look like. This tracks with previous reports that Harry was engaged by some conversation he had with William about reservations that William had about Meghan. And, inexplicably, Oprah mentioned William as she transitioned to asking Harry about the skin tone conversation.

In normal families, that's a normal question.

Neither Harry nor Meghan seemed willing to accept it as a normal question.

+100000 The race hustling crazies are grasping at straws here hoping to con gullible white people. That is a 100% normal question to ponder.

White chick here. Not normal. Really ill intended. Have you ever had this discussion with a friend in a biracial relationship that was expecting? Would you ask it over lunch with work colleagues if it's so "normal"? GTFOH.

I am the white mother of two mixed-race kids. I had a white work colleague ask me what I thought my oldest would look like when I was pregnant with him. I never took offense.

When their attention fades statewide, Meghan will try to orchestrate rekindling with the Royal Family. It's so predictable. I hope the RF tells them to piss over forever.

Hmm...a black mother married to a white man would be offended.

And tbh some of the most race-obsessed people are POC. Like the Dominicans. The Dominican cleaning women at that job thought my husband was acceptable bc he was light-skinned and not dark-skinned.

Harry deployed to Afghanistan twice and was involved in actual combat missions. Did you?

True. She is beautiful though. I admit I don't care about them or the BRF at all, but I like seeing what she chooses to wear. That's it.

Yes, the Millennial angle is definitely one that has not been discussed enough.
