Anonymous wrote:Controversial food opinion? Taco Bell is amazing.

I have been having major Taco Bell cravings lately, and I haven't eaten there in probably 30 years.

This was the same for me, and I finally went, and it was....disgusting. I was so bummed.

Oooh Taco Bell is one of those things that can only be eaten on weekends, preferably in the evening after you’ve had really good sex with someone you love, sitting together on the couch in sweats watching old TV shows.

We joke that my husband knew he needed to propose to me when I requested a post-coital Taco Bell run one weekend. We don't get it very often, they keep taking my favorite thing off the menu (long live the enchirito!), and it has a shelf-life to rival McDonald's french fries... but sometimes you just need a run for the border.

RIP the Double Decker. And the chili cheese burrito.

Aw this is sweet. Long live trash food for lovers!

I know people don't like to think of it that way. And that's fine if you don't want to. I'm not trying to talk anyone out if it, esp. since I know folks who love it get really pissy when it's brought up. But for me, it's a hard pass.

Ew. I’m not vegetarian but you nailed it. Ribs and bacon are disgusting.

I agree.

My steak must be well done.

Pure heresy. Doesn't even sound worth eating. Is that you, Donald?

I’ve never understood the free bread at restaurants. Why would I eat this when I just ordered food? Doesn’t that make you full before you get to eat the real food?

I will eat a piece of it if it's warm. If it's room temp, no thanks. For me, getting a bread re-fill is low class, same with tortilla chips.

The whole point of going out for Mexican food is the chips and salsa. It’s not like some snooty French serveur will be judging you in a place where the stars are Mariachi not Michelin. Plus, if you’re ordering beers/margaritas and extras like guacamole, it is not as though you are being cheap and loading up on freebies.

The chocolate on kit kats is crime against humanity.
It takes like a brown sweet greesy soap.
It is perfect for people who have no taste and never ate real European sweets.

They are lying to me when I buy a grind beef that this stuff inside is dark because oxygen does not get there.
When I make my own grind meat at home I don't get any brown junk inside.

Busted.

There are so many more apple varieties in the world. Somehow they never make it to the lSupermarket.

I am sick and tired of Gala, Golden and red delicious, Crispy something.. and Lady something..

They all are void of deep sun developed flavor and they all blend in with time. So tired.

All places that sell brie cut into wedges wrapped in the saran wrap should be reeducated. Brie needs to breath and should NEVER be wrapped tight in the plastic that cause it to ferment and spoil rotten and make it bitter and dissgusting. I only buy small brie that is wrapped loosely and packed in a wooden tinny round original box.

Butter in the fridge needs to be kept in the ziploc bag. No, the glass containers don't do the trick. Butter absorbs all the other foods smells in the fridge
and after two days it tastes funny not like pure butter. Containers like glass or ceramic have holes and let the smell in. Small ziploc bag keeps butter
fresh tasting till you use it up.

oh and one more: Salted butter is a cheat to extend the shelf life, not only is unhealthy because of the salt but also tastes horrible and spoil sweet baking stuff. It is only good for the stores as they can sell it for longer. I positively despise salted butter and would end it.

Trader Joe’s cookie butter is gross

I did not know that most of the meats in the USA is not inspected via lab tests like in Europe where every cow or pig and its parts are inspected, and stamped. NOT HERE. The meet is "visually" inspected and let go.. what the F? You can not see bacterias from ten feet away. They have microscope for that you know.
No wonder meat here often has cancerous growths inside that you will never find if you buy meat in Europe. Ugh.

Home made pizza never tastes as good as bought.

Most junk food is delicious. EVIL!

Why all healthy food can not be by default?

All restaurant portions are too big. They should be smaller. If you want more , buy more. Otherwise it is just unhealthy and insane.
