Dropping TSJ won’t move the needle. We need to reduce by 3-4 teams to make a difference.
TSJ has almost no talent. Wouldn’t improve pool.

Exactly. The RL player pool is better than TSJ. All it does is take automatic wins away from the other teams in the conference

We all agree to this cr@p. As the customers here, we should just say no. En masse. Honestly it’s all a boondoggle to have kids and families feel important and make money. No one cares about low bracket 12 year olds!

Troll

Not a troll. A soccer parent who has shelled out too much $$$. Unless your kid is the next natl team member, no one is watching them, honestly even in high school, til 11th grade. We are all letting ourselves be sold a lotta nothing by clubs, hotels, leagues, and private trainers. It’s nuts.

Its nuts STJ has to go.

STJ right now harvesting better developmental results than VRSC, NVA and LS. What are you smoking?

Huh? There are 6 age groups in GA. U13-U19. STJ is in last place 12th in four of the six. The other two they are 11th place second to last. This will be their last season in GA.

Welcome to Aspire, STJ!

Reducing teams doesn’t make a difference. It just reduces access to better quality leagues. The real issue is the coaching is closer to daycare than instruction. True even for high schoolers.

Agree that better coaching is needed but soft coaching happens also when parents complain if Susie is given a hard time at practice.

the brackets are not by best teams. You can figure this out quickly by looking at team rankings. they just spread the teams out. Bracket A Vs D means nothing

I reached out to the GA East Regional Tournament organizers after receiving a survey from them (I'm the team manager). One of the questions asked us to rate our team's competitive level on a scale from 1 (most competitive) to 3 (least competitive). After collecting all the responses, the organizers grouped teams by state—making an effort to avoid placing multiple teams from the same state in the same group. Then, they assigned teams to groups based on their reported competitive level. So yes, whether you're in Group A or Group F does make a difference.

nope.. go look at rankings. They ensured the top teams were spread out. You have teams in top 50 in same bracket as teams in top 500. Very easy to see this by looking at rankings.

Looks like A bracket. The a spread of teams.

BracketA ranks: 23 92 14 63
BracketB ranks: 138 135 169 49
BracketC ranks: 119 93 89 297
BracketD ranks: 69 212 101 76
BracketE ranks: 374 193 55 145

Brackets look weighted. If you are the 55th team in Bracket E you should win by ratings, but I would want to see what the results actually are as one of those other teams will likely beat them or at least tie.

How did revolution SC make it to champions cup finals in NorCal? The only MA team.

Mid-Atlantic North U13s are dominating down in FL.

Champions Cup is GA does not mean the same as Champions League (playoffs) in ECNL. GA Champions Cup are the best performing *clubs* from the previous season. Basically the club with the most teams finishing in top 5 in their conference the prior season.

By the way, there is a clear advantage in GA if your team plays in Champions Cup because you get to showcase at the best attended events. Even if the team isn’t good as long as the club is good you will be better off.

What? After 2 games in, only McLean and Loudon are 2-0 in the U-12 and U-13 brackets and NVA is 2-0 at U-13.

SYC, Rev, Alex, St James, lots of losses and draws at all ages.

For the MA Region, at U-12 we are average and by U-14 we are running below average.

Will less attitude this time - NORTH - AKA LVU/Celtic/Real/SJEB/PA Classics - they're in the top of almost every flight.
