We all agree to this cr@p. As the customers here, we should just say no. En masse. Honestly it’s all a boondoggle to have kids and families feel important and make money. No one cares about low bracket 12 year olds!

Troll

Not a troll. A soccer parent who has shelled out too much $$$. Unless your kid is the next natl team member, no one is watching them, honestly even in high school, til 11th grade. We are all letting ourselves be sold a lotta nothing by clubs, hotels, leagues, and private trainers. It’s nuts.

Its nuts STJ has to go.

STJ right now harvesting better developmental results than VRSC, NVA and LS. What are you smoking?

Our LS team just played the Tsj team and they were pretty good skill wise. They lost but they were playing a nice passing game. They had no finishers but their midfield had skill and moved the ball. If our team could do that every game we would be in first place.

The had skill and moved the ball because they were playing LS. In a conference full of mediocrity, these are the two teams that clearly don’t belong. Clubs and/or league essentially stealing money from the parents.

Huh? There are 6 age groups in GA. U13-U19. STJ is in last place 12th in four of the six. The other two they are 11th place second to last. This will be their last season in GA.

Welcome to Aspire, STJ!

Changes to age groups will alternate everything again.

Club soccer parent here. Also feel fleeced by these clubs that dangle college soccer recruitment and don't deliver.

I am sensing our club has been very quiet on College commits. Very few social media posts. Which club are you with?

NOVA has too many teams competing for the same pool of kids. If STJ went away, we would all be better off. And I say that without a vendetta against them. Just too many teams competing for a set group of talent, diluting all teams.

Because there are none. Not one.

Dropping TSJ won’t move the needle. We need to reduce by 3-4 teams to make a difference.

Reducing teams doesn’t make a difference. It just reduces access to better quality leagues. The real issue is the coaching is closer to daycare than instruction. True even for high schoolers.
