Actually they are 35,000 pound bombs.

Largest non-nuclear explosives around. Only a few planes can carry them. Iran will definitely know who dropped them.

It’s just physics and combustion of that intensity consumes all available oxygen and creates pressures your body cannot handle if exposed to the ordinance.

Cave or bunker- oxygen is finite in those spaces and flows to the weapon and the explosion will consume all available oxygen at a velocity unsurvivable within certain distances.

DP no. It most likely will not. There are many exit and entrance tunnels and it is deep underground facility. GBU-57A would create rumble that would act similar to a pile of sand. The result after the first bomb would decrease greatly to the point of diminishing returns.

The only thing that would destroy the site would be a nuclear weapon. It would have to be a ground burst or sub ground detonation. This would vaporize a vast amount of bedrock. It would make the fallout highly radioactive and would contaminate vast areas in and outside of Iran. The atmosphere contamination would kill 1,000’s x kiloton of people per year with cancer.

There was a Russia nuclear scientist who did the calculations. For every atmospheric nuclear blast there is a corresponding number of people world wide who will be killed. This is different vs ground fallout death. It has to do with kiloton yields x 1,000’s of death from cancer. This is why they agreed to stop atmospheric nuclear testing.

I do not think the US will get involved with this war. It would be a total and complete disaster for the US both domestically and internationally. Better to let Israel and Iran blow each other up.

What's done is done. This war won't end until Iran's nuclear and missile programs are finished. There is zero chance that Saudi Arabia and Israel can live with a nuclear threat from Iran at this point. I really hope Iran's regime concedes the loss sooner rather than later. The US is moving all sorts of assets to the area. If Iran doesn't give up its nuclear and missile programs, I suspect the US and Israel will obliterate Iran's military forces from the air until there is regime change, whether by popular uprising or coup. But that leads to chaos in a giant country with 90 million people.

What they are doing is leaving us open to attack from China and Russia. We will be openly vulnerable, all to defend Israel. It is insanity.

To be fair maga media is pretty dumb. The election was an obvious choice between war with Russia (Harris) or war with Iran (Trump). Trump was still the right choice.

There is zero conservative support for a war with Iran. The Republican base may accept a B2 dropping a MOP on Iran's underground nuclear facility, but anything more than that will lead to a Republican revolt. Not our war is the general sentiment among conservatives. I think this is the one issue where there is broad bipartisan consensus - no one wants a war with Iran.

The problem is that there is no way Iran can be allowed to have nuclear weapons at this point in time. Tel Aviv and Riyadh will be vaporized the moment Iran has the capability. So, how to bring about a non-nuclear Iran without US military involvement is the question. I'm not sure Israel has the capability. But you'll notice that Jordan, Syria, and Iraq are all allowing Israel to conduct operations in their air space. There is a broad consensus in the Middle East that Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
