Trump has told everyone in Tehran to evacuate. And he has just left the G7 a day early and is convening the National Security Council in the Situation Room tonight. I'd say Iran has about 12 hours to decide to abandon its nuclear program. And if they don't, I suspect there might be a couple of B-2s in the air soon delivering a few $50 million 10,000 pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs to destroy Iran's underground nuclear facilities at Fordow. The ball is in Iran's court now.

Foolish. Absolutely foolish.

Why do we keep falling for neocon rhetoric over and over? They are always disastrously wrong.

“we” arent falling for it. Republicans are.

For sure some Democrats are. Look how silent they are.

What's done is done. This war won't end until Iran's nuclear and missile programs are finished. There is zero chance that Saudi Arabia and Israel can live with a nuclear threat from Iran at this point. I really hope Iran's regime concedes the loss sooner rather than later. The US is moving all sorts of assets to the area. If Iran doesn't give up its nuclear and missile programs, I suspect the US and Israel will obliterate Iran's military forces from the air until there is regime change, whether by popular uprising or coup. But that leads to chaos in a giant country with 90 million people.

What they are doing is leaving us open to attack from China and Russia. We will be openly vulnerable, all to defend Israel. It is insanity.

How?

Hawaii just had a completely unannounced emergency alert test a few days ago. Why do you think?

https://www.staradvertiser.com/2025/06/13/breaking-news/city-officials-no-emergency-after-hi-ema-test-alert/#

Essentially we are sending defensive resources to the Middle East, leaving the US itself more vulnerable. Good thing Israel will be safe though.

We have 11 aircraft carriers.

We also have 14 Ohio Class ballistic submarines (Trident) that can launch MIRVs and TLAMs.

We have a metric s***-ton of military hardware to bring to bear.

Your turn.

Sure. Tell me the last time the US successfully got involved in a ME war where it benefited in the end, and then tell me the last time that happened when there was a waiting superpower with demonstrable military power waiting for the US to be exceptionally vulnerable.

Now do this in an era of cyberwar, autonomous drones where the other superpower is demonstrably better at those drones, and where we have a disorganized leadership structure under Hegseth and a visibly demoralized rank and file (see: parade).

We can’t fight a two front war. And our distraction in the ME would be an excellent time to strike. We aren’t ready. And China is.

So silly on so many levels.

What if Trump Tower gets hit?

Only something crazy like that would change Trumps calculus on deploying ground troops. Remember this is the same guy who boasted about Trump tower being bigger than the twin towers as the towers were burning.

He lacks an empathy chip so only something personal would affect him to go to war

Israel’s greatest threat isn’t Iran or Hamas. It’s their own hubris and Benjamin Netanyahu

I guess we better hope that there are no Iranian cell in the US. If there are I hope they leave the blue areas out of this. Fox News, Texas and Florida please!

How would we even know? So many completely unvetted people came here though the southern border during the previous administration.

Remember, Israel supported apartheid regime in South Africa too. So not surprising

From another credible news source! Got any more propaganda you'd like to try to proliferate in the service of your antisemitic narrative?

If the backwards rebel group in Yemen can disrupt U.S. air operations so easily, how can America conduct effective air operations against a more sophisticated adversary?
According to new reporting from the New York Times, a Houthi surface-to-air (SAM) missile barely missed an American F-35 fifth-generation fighter, the crown jewel of the U.S. fighter inventory. The F-35, participating in Operation Rough Rider against the Houthis, was forced to take evasive action to avoid the missile.
The incident raises questions about the survivability of one of America’s most advanced fighters, and raises concerns over how effective the relatively unsophisticated Houthi air defense system has been at hampering U.S. action.
“Several American F-16s and an F-35 fighter jet were nearly struck by Houthi air defenses, making real the possibility of American casualties,” military analyst Gregory Brew posted on X, adding that the Houthis were successful in shooting down “seven American MQ-9 drones (around $30 million each), hampering Central Command’s ability to track and strike the militant group.”

Almost does not count in combat. Like saying “I almost won the lottery”.

I almost hit my target is called a miss.

The F-35 is almost 25 years old now and approaching end of life. It will definitely serve for another 20 but there are newer platforms out there the US has.

Is there any actual evidence that any F-35s have been shot down / captured for study? I can't find any. The only stuff I've seen out there is either bad AI, or photoshop, or videos from video games.

Yu OU have to get your news beyond Fox, CNN, WaPo, MSNBC, when it comes to world news. American news is not all the news and very much edited and filtered

There is zero evidence that a F-35 has been shot down over Iran. Much less three. It's just propaganda. But even for Iran, it's pretty pathetic propaganda.

Oh it is all over the web. Apparently the Chinese are already there. These kind is things that show Israel in a bad light take about 6 months to year to come out. US and Israel are sitting on the story.

Israel’s hiding how bad they were hit this weekend. They’re underreporting the casualty numbers as well

Perhaps, but likely irrelevant. Pretty clear that they’ve degraded Iran’s air defenses to the point where Israel can strike at will.

Unless Iran has the capability to inflict FAR more damage than it has so far, Israel is going to inflict a crushing defeat.

Israel cannot do that alone. As always big brother the USA has to step in and help out its fuccked up little brother aka Israel. Big brother needs to turn little brother loose to fight the battles little brother initiates.

It does give China moral authority to invade Taiwan by any means necessary. If I was China, I would take full advantage of the USA’s engagement in the Middle East. If USA can attack at will and regime change, why can’t China, or Russia for that matter.

No one except the Axis of Evil wants a nuclear-capable Iran. No nation who ever criticized the Israeli destruction in Gaza has complained about Iran losing its nuclear potential. The most ardently anti-Israel countries have made bleating noises about toning it down to avoid a regional or world war.

So Israel is doing everyone else's dirty work here.

Sit tight and let it play out. Don't forget to follow what the IDF is doing in Gaza, because it's the perfect time to sneak in some extra destruction there while the world is distracted elsewhere.

As long as we actually do sit tight and let it play out - we are already moving tankers to support Israel and there are hints that we will do more. That's not sitting tight or letting it play out.

I need to get out of the DMV stat because America is begging to get hit by little dirty bombs.

“The IC continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003. We continue to monitor closely if Tehran decides to reauthorize its nuclear weapons program. “

- Tulsi Gabbard, March 2025

You know Trump has never, ever trusted his own intelligence communities. He trusted Putin over his intelligence agencies. And now he trust Netanyahu over his self appointed intelligence director.

Axis of Evil? A BS term dumbass, warmongering Netanyahu, George W. Bush, and Cheney used for North Korea, Iran, and Iraq to justify the invasion of Iraq. Over a half million Iraqis people were killed, over 50,000 Americans killed; trillions of American dollars spent, and an innumerable amount of permanent injuries on both sides due to the axis of evil lie that originated by Netanyahu. Guess how money Israeli people and national treasure did Israel lose because of the lie? Zilch, nada, nil, non, none. And here you are starting the new lie.
