Honestly, this is one time where I'd like to see China flex and back Iran with troops stationed in Iran. It would prevent the US from pissing away trillions of dollars getting sucked into another 20 year war because of Israel.

I'll say this about Israel - they don't mess around. First it was Hamas. Then it was Hezbollah - remember the exploding pagers and walkie talkies? Then the Assad regime in Syria. And now Iran itself, where it looks like they've established complete air dominance and can now take out targets at their leisure. I'm thinking invading Israel on October 7th was maybe a pretty stupid idea after all. The entire power structure of the region has been subsequently destroyed and upended.
