I didn’t miscast them as ONLY wanting Israel to follow international law. But Israeli’s failure to do so certainly doesn’t help anyone take Israeli’s preposterous “pre-emptive self-defense” and “existential threat” claims seriously.

I believe these groups use threatening language to project power in the midst of having none. It’s a game of optics, played by power brokers in these tribes who seek to bolster support from populations greatly maligned by the U.S. through our blind, unconditional support of Israel. Non-existent existential impact.

I don’t believe these groups, collectively, have 1% of the capacity to do any harm to Israel. Therefore, my attention rests on Israel’s reaction - the disproportionate reaction that results in massacres like 42,000+ dead in Gaza following 1,200 dead in Israel.

You cannot possibly believe that this current conflict will improve the level of safety and peace in Israel. And yet this frenzied response. It’s madness.

It’s both frightening and amusing how the far left has become sympathetic with long-recognized Islamic terror groups. I’m a democrat who is so alarmed by what I see in the liberal movement.

Problem is, the Lebanese Army doesn’t exactly get along with Hezbollah.
