Pretty amazing that he couldn’t remember when Beau died, considering that he mentions Beau EVERY TIME HE MEETS SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD A LOVED ONE DIE.

And, it's pretty rich that in Jill Biden's statement WRT the report, she said, "I can't imagine someone would try to use our son's death to score political points."
Especially since this is what Joe does all. the. time.

THIS. I actually cringe every time he's talking to people who have lost loved ones and EVERY TIME has to bring up the death of his son. Way to make it all about you.
DP

Especially when a Military member died overseas and Biden starts in on his son dying. I am sure his son’s death was tragic and terrible, but he died in a hospital. Joe and his family could say their goodbyes and make sure Beau was cared for and treated with pain relief, etc. Military personnel who die from being blown up or any hostile action don’t have that kind of death. Two different things, both awful, but not the same.

This is a childish, pathetic pissing match about who suffered more. Gross. The point is that Trump’s family is completely out of touch with the military and mocks them. Biden family can relate and respects them.

No, Military members who die in action in war are separate from people who doe from cancer. Both are tragic. But Beau Biden didn’t die in war. It’s not childish to point out the difference.

Beau died of cancer that he likely got because of exposure while serving. Quit trying to out-trauma them. Yes, it’s childish.

If you haven't lost two children , as Joe Biden has, then shut up because you have no idea how you would say or do if your child died.

My God but you are stupid. There really should be an IQ minimum to post on DCUM or, at minimum, knowledge of what you are talking about!

I'm losing respect for Jill with every day that goes by. She needs to insist Biden step down, but she won't. It's really disgraceful.

Wow! I bet Mrs. Biden is devastated and cries a quarter of a tear out if her right eye every night because you are losing respect for her! NOT!!!!!!!!

I know I would let traumatized people talk about what happened to THEM rather than constantly bringing my own trauma up, again and again. Get a clue.

Hi, Jill. Please take care of your husband by insisting he resign. The sooner the better.

They really don't know what causes Glioblastoma. My brother in law also passed from Glioblastoma. My brother in law also served in the Army and did three tours in Afghanistan. He was told cell phone use from talking on his cell phone all the time could have been the cause. The reality is though, no one knows what causes Glioblastoma.

Beau did not die in a war in battle.

A Military Member who is killed in action and a Veteran dying from a service connected cancer are not the same.

The VA only allows Vets who have service connected cancers to be rated while undergoing cancer treatment. Once they are “cured” they are dropped to zero and have to fend for themselves. I know Vets who were diagnosed with a service connected cancer who applied for help from the VA. These Vets have had life changing surgery, chemo, radiation, and the VA STILL hasn’t helped them. Why? The onerous bureaucracy of the VA. My VSO said many Vets die from their eventual service connected cancer before the VA adjudicates their cases and grants cancer stricken Vets the help they need. They actually die before the VA processes their application.

It takes years for a VA application to be processed. Some Vets with service connected cancers are initially denied and have to submit paperwork for a higher level review. Guess how long that takes? Time cancer stricken Vets do not have. At all.

If Biden understands the tragedy of Vets with cancer, how about he fixes the VA? Men and women like his son are dying and not even being approved for the benefits and healthcare they earned because of extensive paperwork and VA bureaucracy. They and their families suffer greatly. Biden understands that suffering so personally but only talks about his son dying, and the other people just like his son don’t even receive the help they need in time to receive VA treatment and benefits. It’s very hard to hear Biden constantly talking about his son and how he suffered and his family suffered, while people in the exact situation, who need help, aren’t getting it.

If he did something besides talk, that would be great.

I have a service connected cancer. It was caused by my exposure to toxic substances during my service in Southeast Asia.

I don’t think you have anything of substance or significance to add to this topic. You are aggressively awful. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The PACT Act has allowed Vets to make claims for their cancers and the VA has a list they will allow service connection for:

We’ve added more than 20 burn pit and other toxic exposure presumptive conditions based on the PACT Act. This change expands benefits for Gulf War era and post-9/11 Veterans.

These cancers are now presumptive:

Brain cancer
Gastrointestinal cancer of any type
Glioblastoma
Head cancer of any type
Kidney cancer
Lymphoma of any type
Melanoma
Neck cancer of any type
Pancreatic cancer
Reproductive cancer of any type
Respiratory (breathing-related) cancer of any type

https://www.va.gov/resources/the-pact-act-and-your-va-benefits/#:~:text=We've%20added%20more%20than,Brain%20cancer

If a Service Member served in certain areas, at certain timeframes, the VA will admit a service connection.

The problem is that Vets have to submit their paperwork- while undergoing cancer treatment- and the VA taking months /years to approve the connection.

Biden should make sure Vets suffering cancer have an expedited process when dealing with the VA.

Tell your bil about the PACT Act and tell him to apply at the VA for a service connection.

DP. Just ignore (or report) the twits who think they can deflect to Trump - on a Biden thread - anytime the discussion of Biden's decline gets too uncomfortable for them.

Not deflecting at all but responding to the double standards for so many criticisms placed here against Biden …

Biden called Military members “stupid b@stards, slow, and dull.” It’s a joke, right, calling Military members slow dull, and stupid b@stards is hilarious!

There is a big difference between making a bad joke and seriously insulting the military over decades …

Trump Has Mocked the U.S. Military His Whole Life
Egged on by his father, the U.S. president began expressing contempt for Americans who fight in wars as far back as high school, his classmates say.

Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly confirmed for the first time the accuracy of reports that his old boss, former President Donald Trump, repeatedly insulted wounded veterans, dead American soldiers who fought in World War I and U.S. service members killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hur is not a trained medical professional, no doctor was observing the interview on behalf of DoJ. To try to make some sort of diagnosis of the President is wildly unprofessional and way below an elite lawyer who is a partner at Gibson Dunn and went to Stanford Law.

The fact that this made it in the report issued by DoJ is insane. That’s how you know Hur is a nakedly Republican political operative.

Hur made no diagnosis.
He stated what he observed. And, he confirmed what we have all seen for 3 years now.
And, it has only gotten worse. And, it will continue to get worse. His issues will NOT improve.
Those of you who cannot admit that are divorced from reality.

It was unprofessional for Hur to throw out non-germane opinions that are not in the report. And he did not include those gossipy insults in the report because that would have been outrageously unprofessional. Hur disgraced himself.

+1

They were quite germane given that was his reasoning for not charging him.

Bullshit. The report gave the reasons. Hur just smeared Biden so he won’t get kicked out of the Republican patronage network.

You’re pathetic. This came from Biden’s DOJ. The 25th Amendment needs to be invoked.

+1
Merrick Garland, darling of the left, *assigned* this to Hur. Democrats just can't bear to hear the truth.

MG is a registered Republican

Oh! I didn’t realize that. Well, I guess Biden is actually super sharp, then. Thanks for explaining!

DP. Garland is not a registered Republican. The PP was lying.

He is a registered independent and judicial centrist - the salient point was that MG was not a liberal darling but a compromise candidate as he had a lot of Republican support early on - many liberals were disappointed when Obama nominated him and many people were surprised when senate republicans rejected him

Hurt is a registered Republican and Garland probably should have tried harder to find a more centrist special counsel.
