They did change significantly in Loudoun County. Which means you're talking about rich white folks and Indians.

Overall, 38% more votes than 2017 in Loudon County:

2017:
D: 69,778
R: 46,396

2021
D: 89,390 (+28% votes)
R: 71,467 (+54% votes)

My Asian and Indian friends in FFX and Loudoun were angry with the democrats for several reasons:

- VMPI - it was state wide.
- TJ
- Covid response bungled
- very late reopening, even after most teachers were vaccinated. It did not make any sense, other than maybe teachers were lazy?

Long after the election, the emails/texts between the Board members were revealed.

- they literally laughed / “LOL” about anti-Asian racism? This we will not forget.

So your "friends" voted out of spite?

And "they" thought teachers were "lazy"?

Sounds like a bunch of losers.

They didn't "think". They "knew".

Oh. So a-holes. Got it.

I’m not the PP, did not vote Youngkin and am a Dem. But lecturing people that they voted wrong because they voted based on their interest issues sure does not sound like a winning strategy .

So refreshing to read a smart comment.

+100. I did not vote in this election and probably will continue not voting in future elections. I voted democrat for the 22 years of my voting eligible life, but I adopted an asian son and I cannot in good conscience vote for democrats right now with their support of discriminatory admissions policies from elementary AAP all the way up to college.

Voting out of spite isn’t voting for their interests. It’s an emotional vote meant to penalize. Voting for Youngkin isn’t going to solve any of their perceived issues. They got fleeced.

Plus, they are jerks if they are calling teachers “lazy”. WTF?

I doubt that the late early-covid reopening was the teachers' fault as much as that the school system administration itself was extraordinarily disorganized. I get that FCPS is a huge school system, but there were a lot of much less funded school systems that were back up and running online almost right away. The school system throwing tech people under the bus and making excuses tells you all that you need to know. Schools themselves were probably waiting for directions from up above that never came.

Totally a case of the school board showing their true colors when it counted.

Lol, was this that fake photo of nationalists staged by Democrats to make Youngkin look bad? That news was hilarious when I first heard about it.

No, it was when white nationalists marched in Charlottesville chanting “you will not replace us”.

My bad, I'm reading about it now. The staged photo with the Democrats was the one where they dressed up in the same outfits and tried to link it to Youngkin.

Yes, white nationalists have a distinctive uniform. Fleece vest is the peak.

GQ even covered it.
