I'm a Janney family and I really don't see the point of this post. Are you trying to brag? Maybe some of that money could be donated to schools who don't have the PTA funds that we do?

The OP bragged using false information. While the auction did bring in a significant amount, it was less than half of what the trouble-starter wrote.

What kinds of items are at the auction ? Hard to imagine how they could bring in even half of this amount!

Meh. I was at Glen Echo a few weeks ago and saw groups of kids (seemed K through 1st/2nd) from the school on a field trip. Very poorly supervised--I would not feel comfortable with those ratios and kids running around. Teachers/staff weren't paying attention and some of them didn't seem exactly nice. Maybe they should funnel some of that money into hiring and training.

That wasn't the regular school program. If you saw issues, please report them to the after school program or the PTA. My kid was on that trip- what did you see?
