This case is bigger than Wint. |
Wint won't give up any information about his accomplices. It's probably it's someone he's close to, maybe his brother, or someone he's afraid of. Also, he has nothing to gain by helping in the investigation. I'm sure the prosecutors won't offer him anything less than life without parole. Because there's no death penalty in DC, they really have nothing to bargain with. |
It's awful but I do sort of wish they could offer him a little something in the way of his prison time that would provide some incentive. Like, look...we can give you a roommate that just hates child killers or we can give you a cell mate that REALLY hates child killers--if you want the choice, you're going to have to play ball here. |
More than knowing who his accomplices were...I'm still so curious as to motive. I have a hard time comprehend in how this guy held a five plus year grudge on Mr. S and acted on it when he did. What was he doing all the time in between? Did Mr. S have any enemies? Was this more complex than just a thug looking for easy money. ?? |
Things have been silent because W is now under the care now of the best criminal defense attorney in the city. If this goes to trial, it will be like a clinic in how to get away with murder. He has a lawyer who does not lose. |
I thought he had a public defender. |
If this goes to trial, afterward any former juror that wants one will have a book deal.
|
No, he's a former PDS. Legal fee $$$$$$ minimum. Someone is very connected ... |
Reference please. |
What's a PDS? |
Maybe it was a hit afterall. Maybe Wint could turn in whomever he was working / for / with etc and they are feeling exposed. How could this nasty slime thug otherwise be connected to any real lawyer ? How will this lawyer ever sleep again or look at himself in the mirror though. |
Somebody give the attorney's name please. I can't find it in news sources online. If Wint's defense is "I was there but I didn't do the actual killing" then they would be better off if they have someone they can pin it on. |

you know nothing--your question betrays your lack of understanding of the profession. Or perhaps, you know, justice will be truly served only when the most guilty among us is defended as vigorously as the innocent. |
