So you don’t know. Nobody does. I understand their anger. |
|
Most do including myself, but you don’t win support this way. It just leads to white flight and 4 more years of the current administration |
Most people are angry. Most people don’t riot and loot. |
Total lack of leadership. Didn't they learn anything from Baltimore? It didn't happen that long ago. |
Exactly. Most people don't slaughter their own. No one is stepping up to provide meaningful leadership. No one seems to care. No one seems to see any hope for them. Will they wake up some day asking, what have we done to our community? |
It was proven in and after 2016 that some BLM events, social media pages, and accounts on social media sites weren’t legit and were actually connected with the Russian troll farms. They were trying (and succeeding) to sow racial discord in the US and to propel Trump to victory on the basis of this racial discord. Trump won and they mostly got really quiet even though the racial incidents obviously didn’t stop. Now here we are in an election year and suddenly there’s riots across the US? The timing is awfully suspicious. |
It at least makes rational sense, as opposed to burning down Auto Zone. Which sadly also was done. One article showed a few self-described "redneck types" in a group which included a black man too, holding semi auto rifles outside a business . "We support the protesters and the police have to answer for this, but they are NOT going to burn down this business" |
| Not even the black police chief will step up to protect the people from themselves. |
We need more change than this. We can’t fix racism over night, but we can stop sending the cops out to solve every problem. We need to reduce police contact with the public. The police should be sent out after a 911 call for violent crimes only. Hear me out. The police do not need to immediately race over to arrest someone for a $20 counterfeit bill. That is just acting as the private security for whatever store this was. Have the store manager go down to the station and fill out a complaint. They can figure out who it was with facial recognition anyways. The police do not need to pull over cars for anything other than outrageous and reckless speeding. Cameras can send out tickets for everything else. Someone is afraid of someone they see on the street? Fine. Go on down to the police station and fill out a complaint. The cops can figure out there whether there’s a real issue (probably not). No more 911 for this stuff. Let calmer heads prevail. This is ridiculous. The time for change is now. I think the “see something, say something” campaign after 9/11 was the worst policy ever. Get rid of that too. |
Most people won’t help people that don’t want to help themselves so the situation is hopeless. Why doesn’t Oprah pry her fat ass out of her $100mm Santa Monica compound, hop on her private jet and parachute into MSP to exhibit some leadership and courage in the face of more senseless violence, destruction and lawlessness? |
| Please tell us, 7:34, where you idea of ignoring criminals actually REDUCES crime. |
^your idea... |
I agree with 90% of the original list above, and I'm no SJW type. What you have described above is a federal crime, though. You've now just decided that a bunch of laws are unenforceable, so why have them at all? Why have laws on the books that are not enforced? And who gets to decide this fairly? |
I'm sure you conveniently haven't heard that the man who busted up the windows and set the auto zone on fire was a cop? They started this and they are egging it on. Look at the videos of cop cars just indiscriminately pepper spraying a peaceful crowd as they drive by. These people are not rioting by themselves. |
